00:08Bam!
00:14Igan, at 6 in the morning, the 176 Filipinos who came from Myanmar via Thailand
00:25They were repatriated by the government from the scam hubs in Myanmar.
00:30When they arrived here in Paliparan, some of the medical cases were immediately dismissed
00:37because some of them were convicted.
00:39The Interagency Council on Trafficking, DSWD, Department of Migrant Workers, DFA, and the Department of Justice also held a press conference.
00:51According to the Bureau of Immigration, they had a show-cause order for their 7 employees

01:04Aside from the show-cause order, there is a preventive suspension for these 7 employees.
01:09It is said that the B.I. was challenged to guard the back door exits.
01:13They said that they were able to lock one of the exits, but they are currently locking and guarding it.
01:18The DOH is conducting a medical assessment on the 176 Filipinos who came back.
01:24According to the DOJ, the Filipinos who came back will not be punished.
01:28Even if they were convicted by the scam hubs in other countries or overstaying their immigration documents
01:34because this is a part of the non-punishment principle, a part of their arrangement in other countries.
01:40They will be able to find the recruiters or the syndicators behind these scam hubs.
01:48The Filipinos who came back from the Department of Migrant Workers and DSWD will also receive a package.
01:55Psychosocial health is also included in this package.
01:58Many of them experienced depression.
02:01They said that if their quota is not met, they will be pushed out.
02:05We just talked to someone earlier.
02:07They said that more than 50 elderly women will be pushed out if their quota is not met.
02:14They are literally scamming them.
02:17They will look for vulnerable targets on social media.
02:20They will ask them to invest money and get trust.
02:24And a reminder from the government.
02:26Don't be fooled.
02:28Don't be fooled by the too-good-to-be-true allocations on social media.
02:33Like the one we just talked to.
02:34He was allocated P35,000.
02:37But he will only send P10,000 or less.
02:42Again, a reminder.
02:44Avoid these social media allocations on these scam hubs.
02:50This is the first news from IA Terminal 1, Bamalagre for GMA Integrated News.
