00:00The Philippines has already sent the rescue and humanitarian assistance group to Myanmar.
00:05The magnitude 7.7 earthquake was reported last week live from Pasay.
00:10We have the first news, Bam Alegre. Bam?
00:16Good morning, Susan.
00:17The Philippine team that will go to Myanmar for the humanitarian assistance and disaster response mission left at 4 a.m.
00:30Just this morning, the group was formed to provide services to the affected by the magnitude 7.7 earthquake in Myanmar.
00:37They are 91 in total.
00:39These include the Special Rescue Units of the Philippine Air Force and Armed Forces of the Philippines.
00:44There are also people from the Department of Health who experienced the earthquake in Turkey.
00:48There are also people from the Metro Manila Development Authority or MMDA, Office of Civil Defense, and Bureau of Fire Protection.
00:55As well as the private sector, there are also trained personnel who are included in the humanitarian mission.
01:00The group will stay in Myanmar for about two weeks.
01:03The first batch, 58 people, left this morning on two C-130 planes.
01:08Tomorrow, 33 will fly, followed by the C-130.
01:11They will travel for five hours to Thailand for a gas stop.
01:15Then, they will travel for one and a half hours to Myanmar.
01:18We will help those who are still alive and those who are trapped in the structures in Myanmar.
01:29That is important because there is still time for them to be saved.
01:32I am inspiring them to leave.
01:34I told them to stay at the Eastern Visayas Medical Center.
01:37They were affected by the typhoon Haiyan.
01:39This is also an experience of a big-time disaster because they are the personnel who helped during the typhoon Haiyan.
01:47I told them that if there is a big one in Metro Manila, they are the ones who will respond to us.
01:55Susan, the 40 personnel of the Philippine Air Force who operated a flight to Myanmar via Thailand traveled with us.
02:03This is the first news from Villanueva Air Base in Pasay, Bamalegre for GMA Integrated News.
