00:00odds and also the win totals. It is interesting to me because if we forget about starting at the top,
00:05which we talked the Yankees already here, look at the bottom. It's the Blue Jays at 79 and a half.
00:09And the reason I bring that up is, you know, sort of equating to the Chicago White Sox, Joe,
00:14just a few years back, we're saying, but the White Sox are the future of the central division with
00:18all the talent they have. They are absolute bottom feeders. Now, a couple of years ago,
00:22you would look at the Blue Jays and say, I'm not so sure in the next year or two,
00:26they're not by far the best team in the American League East. So now we take a look at the
00:30standings and the win totals, their expectations, 79 and a half with the superstar Vladimir Guerrero
00:35Jr. winning a half a billion dollars plus to get paid. So that clouds the vision. So instead of
00:41starting up top, tell me about the Blue Jays and where it went wrong or in your mind, Joe,
00:47if there's value on the Jays this year. No, I listen, it's a very important year for the future
00:55of what this franchise is going to be, right? Because they certainly, if things go their way
01:02and with the variants and injuries and other things that happen on 162 game season to other teams,
01:08sure, they might be able to punch their ticket to the post season, but then what? You still
01:12haven't locked up Vlad Guerrero Jr. This is his final year. He's going to be looking for a huge
01:18payday. The fact that you couldn't come to an agreement with to this point means you've got
01:22people in that front office that can't figure out what direction to go to. You've got four pitchers
01:27in this rotation who are on the wrong side of 30 and two more. That'll be free agents
01:33after this season here. Springer is not what he used to be anymore. Bo Bichette also hits free
01:39agency. So this is a bunch of guys playing out the string right now with no clear direction as
01:46to where this organization is going. And you and I both know, Donnie, if you're not committing to
01:51your players, your superstars, then these guys are just going to play it out, man. And they are
01:56going to be like, I'll hit free agency and somebody else will pay me the money. It's major league
02:00baseball after all. And that's what worries me. I think they either over succeed and they make
02:06the playoffs, but get bounced. Or this is a team that is just miserable all year long and can't
02:12wait for the season to end. I don't think there's any in between with them.
