00:00Hello and join us as we follow all the information coming from Argentina on the Day of Remembrance
00:10for the Truths and Justice.
00:12That's why we make a live contact with our correspondent Belén de los Santos, live from
00:17the streets of Buenos Aires.
00:19Hi Bel, what can you share with us at this hour?
00:22Hello Ale, exactly, I'm joining you from Buenos Aires this time at this very important
00:31day as it's March 24th for all Argentinians, the Day of Truth, Memory and Justice in which
00:37we commemorate and denounce the coup d'etat that took place in 1976, a day like today
00:44and also took place until 1983 among its very terrible crimes were the kidnapping, the torture
00:51and then disappearance of 30,000 comrades, also the appropriation of hundreds of its
00:58children that until today the organizations of human rights continue to fight to recover
01:04and reinstate their identity.
01:07This is a very significant day as we were saying and every March 24th Argentinians gather
01:12around the country but specifically here in the capital city of Buenos Aires.
01:16We are now standing at the very beginning of one of the marches, there are several complications
01:22but they are all heading towards just a few blocks away from here to the Mayo Square,
01:29the Plaza de Mayo here we call it, right in front of the government seats where all the
01:35marches will gather together at a central act at around 4.30 p.m. local time.
01:42This is a very significant event because after almost 20 years there is just one central
01:48act this day and the central key point of this act is to denounce the reality that this
01:56was a genocide that happened in 1976 that started with that coup and went into 1983
02:04and it's important to highlight that there's going to be just this one act because it speaks
02:11to the unity and the importance in this situation that Argentina is going through that everyone
02:18is coming together to really defend the memory, the truth but also the necessity to continue
02:26the struggle, to continue the protest and to really say that this will never happen
02:30again in our democracy in Argentina so we will continue bringing you all the latest
02:35updates.
02:36We are heading right now to Mayo Square, to Plaza de Mayo where the central act is going
02:41to take place so we will be bringing you all the information this is all just for now.
02:48Thank you Will, thank you.
