00:00I saw these videos of you on Josh Hanson's story yeah it was a good day yesterday
00:08shout out to swap moto for lending me the bike
00:11hopefully you didn't see the crash. I saw you on the ground and whatever. yeah lucky you just seen one
00:17lucky you just seen one. it might have been two or three. well the story started off on some big
00:23giant freestyle jump off the backside of a berm right? dude that thing was like I don't know it
00:28looked small he made it look small and I did it and I was lucky he didn't get the video that I
00:33really looked my foot slipped off it was a good time though I had fun. so basically are we saying
00:40no supercross futures for Jason Montoya tomorrow? no supercross futures for me not for a while I
00:45got to get Malc out at the track to give me a little tip show me we might hit uh paula next
00:50week so we'll see how that one goes. good luck. see ya. so Dylan we're two rounds in how are you
00:57feeling and how are things going? I feel good I really feel the the winter training was really
01:03good and good on the bike the bike and the team are really strong and I mean I could do fast lap
01:11on during qualifying but yeah for the main I missed a good opportunity in A1 finished second
01:17and last weekend in Glendale I crashed hard on lap one and that killed my race I broke the
01:25front brake and bent the handlebar so it was difficult to ride in this condition but managed
01:31to get back six and a good save point for the championship but yeah I need to really need to
01:36do no mistake three and uh and yeah I tried to fight for the win because I never win a race in
01:42a supercross so it's time you know for me to have one. I think the first one will be the hardest and
01:49it'll come easier after that. yeah for sure but now right now after the first practice I know that
01:54tonight it's going to be for A1 and A1-2 it's going to be tough because the track is really
01:59really tough yeah so we see but yeah now we we know a little bit more what's good what's bad
02:06which rider is strong which not and uh and yeah we we know a little bit more on the situation but
02:11I mean it's always the same everybody wants to win and same for me I want to get a hard
02:16spot and win and I need to now. yeah so you were really stoked and bursty when you won that main
02:23event it seems like that uh that was a breakthrough of course in supercross for you. yeah it was uh
02:29it was amazing and especially because uh I was riding 450 and a standard pretty standard 450
02:35bike so which is for the future is good because I want to move on 450 really soon and uh
02:41and uh yes fight with uh Jason and uh and Zach was uh was was cool and yeah the win was
02:47unbelievable you know in front of my home crowd so it was definitely a good moment in my in my
02:52career. yeah okay so I noticed uh you're one of the only guys that wears a chest protector so
02:57front and back um can you repeat? chest protector so a lot of racers grow up wearing them and they
03:06turn prone take them off why do you keep yours on? for safety I mean I'm so scared on the front
03:15I'm scared about the rock you know from the when I was riding the GP everybody wears chest
03:21protectors. it's mandatory though right? what? it's required on the GP. yeah it's required but two years
03:28ago it was not and it was for the rocks so many rocks like after two models behind a guy you
03:33your your case is just bleeding you know so that's the first thing uh why I always wear it and also
03:39handlebar in the in the stomach or stuff could be a disaster on a crash and uh yeah on the back it's
03:46for safety I think uh that it changes nothing to wear or don't wear you know it's not more heavy
03:52or it's not a problem for move you know we can talk about the the knee brace the neck brace this
04:01you can we can have a discussion but on a chest protector it's no problem right now with I mean
04:05Thor or any other brand make a really really good chest protector so no for me uh I think it should
04:11be uh it should be required in the United States to wear it because for safety it's really important
04:17and uh yeah I don't really like when I see the the people don't wear it and they show to the
04:22the next generation to don't wear the chest protector and I think it's not pretty good for the
04:26kids. Thank you. Tony Alessi heartbreak last weekend in uh Phoenix. You know um Malcolm's our star
04:37player I mean there's no you know sugarcoating it you know I'm saying and so it's uh to see the
04:43the effort and the dedication and the commitment that he put in um leading up to this Supercross
04:50series uh it just it's devastating you know to to watch a guy see the light you know I'm saying
04:58and and he was reaching for the that that spot and and knowing I'm there yeah and it all to just be
05:06like gone in one moment so uh for me I'm I'm hoping that uh the recovery is quick um and painless
05:15um I think that he is very motivated right now uh he has a great um disposition and um
05:23and I think that comes with knowing that you can win races you know and so you got a taste of
05:28fitness on a 450. Yeah and so uh get getting that taste of knowing I'm good enough to win
05:36man that creates a really strong drive for for the his future so uh uh let's just you know hope
05:43for the best over the next couple months and we're going to see him back soon. Yeah so I was at his
05:48house the other night and I was telling him hey man Tony Alessi probably has some secret tricks
05:53to make shit heal faster you know he always healed his kids fast. Well yeah um there there are
06:00obviously machines for that you know there's a Diapulse machine and there's different things but
06:05unfortunately those are all with Mike in Florida so I don't have the I don't have the cool stuff
06:11here anymore. So you still have two uh two stars under the tent um how is the season going for
06:19Brayton and Friese? Um I would say that the season for Brayton and Friese is going really well at
06:24this moment um they're obviously steadily climbing the charts um I would expect to see uh to Vince
06:31have to see Vince have a breakout race here any day now it's coming any event it's coming um and
06:37obviously for Justin we can always count on steady consistent results. Cool okay thanks for the time
06:44thanks for coming over I appreciate it. What is it for? What's your least least favorite thing in the
06:50world? Getting my uh new shoes dirty and having to go through the tunnel because the gate was
06:57closed until noon not good. Hey how are uh how are you guys doing? Uh they're doing good during the
07:05week on Saturday they're not doing too good that's the problem they're great like on uh
07:13on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday all good yeah and then Saturday
07:20not very good yeah they need to uh step it up. When you're when you're training Marvin and Dylan
07:26are you speaking English or are you speaking French? No no I speak English when there's like
07:32Americans around if you're testing or anything we speak English but if we're like one-on-one
07:36obviously French. Yeah hey so Marvin hired you to work on the whoops correct? Yeah just
07:44man all those things too but yeah everybody thinks I'm like a whoops coach but you're the
07:50whoop wizard man you're the cobra. There's um there's more to it but yeah obviously that is uh
07:57training weakness for a while and uh so yeah we've been working on them but like I said it's always
08:05always easier to do it during the week than to put it like uh you're gonna need time to put all
08:11the work uh on Saturday you know that's a little difficult yeah but I'm confident I think uh I
08:18think he's uh he understand now more like the technique and the way it seems like he never
08:23learned how to do it almost you know like he's so good jumping in but and it's like uh teaching
08:30like almost a rookie and how to do it yeah it's kind of it's interesting because uh he's so good
08:36he won main events he's a superclub champion and but the the basics of going through the groups
08:46he did not learn it yeah so what's the secret obviously there's you know depending on who's
08:55all different different you know size and then the the beginning of them and the the steepness uh
09:02the angle the first few ones but basically you want to get like the highest view you can at the
09:08beginning and just stay there you know if you get in and then you drop right away then it's not it's
09:15not gonna work but it's difficult to do on like a really uh dangerous ones or like sketchy ones
09:22so you need to start like doing it on um easier ones just to figure out like the technique and then
09:28when you get it down and then you move to move like a little steeper you're bigger a little
09:34more dangerous you know so so it's it's a learning process for him and then um but
09:41i'm confident yeah is courage one of the most important factors in whip speed
09:46no no i think uh you would think so like the people that don't understand uh supercross
09:53riding they think oh you gotta have big balls and then just go for him you know but
09:59it works it would you know it works for dean mattson back in the 90s you know yeah with no
10:05hoops technique just speed and balls yeah but sometimes he end out bad you know so i think he
10:12it's one factor but i think for me the factor is to find the technique with you know the wheel
10:19position on the whoops you know like what it hits and the speed and the acceleration and just to
10:26find there's a chronology of stuff you have to do when you go through the whoops um and then you
10:31have to do like the first thing you have to do it first and then the second thing you have to second
10:38if you miss the point one and point two and then go to point three where it's like
10:45pin it yeah then you're gonna yeah you might go you might go through them but you won't be
10:51consistent and you might it's gonna be like a little dangerous also but well well thank you
10:58cobra always nice hearing your insight all right see ya are you the team filmer during practice i
11:04am i am oh shit i'm team i'm team yeah he's team everything yeah back emh everything but a
11:11filmer of your caliber you guys got to have the best practice films out there now oh yeah for sure
11:17definitely zooming in and out because you see some truck drivers they don't know what they're doing
11:20right yeah it's hard though sometimes you know it's a little bit different technique than
11:24than filming in a creative way you know it's more like documentary yeah it is it is
11:29so are you hand holding are you using a tripod hand holding um here's a technique though yeah
11:33there is there is two hands sometimes keep it steady yeah oh yeah say we've uh we've always
11:39enjoyed your productions all right thank you what's the latest what's in the works right now
11:43we just saw the we just saw the colt video yeah there's we'll be dropping stuff every week but
11:48i have a lot of ideas but nothing i can spill the beans on yet we're trying to get a lot of things
11:52put together so i'm excited for for colt and justin and everyone that we have involved in all
11:57the pack emh stuff and we're just trying to create and uh i have a lot of ideas so i don't
12:02want to spill too much until it's done but uh there'll be a lot of stuff coming all year long
12:06where can people follow uh at pack emh which is p-a-k-x-e-m-h and then everything
12:13is my personal handle so either one all right thanks man yep
