00:23He said AI could create convincing fake news and deep fakes, and labelling such content

00:29would make people more cautious when engaging with it.

00:32However, he said overly strict regulations could make it harder for AI companies to stay

00:37competitive.

00:39Rajesh suggests the government provide incentives such as startup grants and tax breaks to help

00:44build AI in a way that benefits society.

00:47Chinese authorities are reported to have recently issued guidelines requiring the labelling

00:52of AI-generated content to be distributed online from September 1.

00:57M Selva Kumar, Director of University Science Malaysia's Cyber Security Research Centre,

01:02noted that labelling can enhance transparency and accountability.

01:07Putrajaya should also look into requiring transparency about the sources of online

01:11content, especially those prone to misinformation such as sensational news and graphic images.
