00:00The National Bureau of Investigation is investigating the individuals or groups that are possibly spreading fake news and disinformation.

00:27According to Director Jaime Santiago of the NBI, they are investigating if someone is leading the spread of fake news on social media.

00:37We are studying the lies of the government officials, the fake news that they are spreading.

00:49We are studying why the bloggers are spreading fake news.

00:54Are they leading the spread of fake news? We are looking into it.

00:59According to the NBI, they are leading the spread of fake news because they want to monitor the content of those who are spreading fake news.

02:03According to the NBI, if the content creator that they are investigating is not in the Philippines and is a citizen in another country,

02:11they will have a hard time in the investigation.

02:13However, if this is a Filipino citizen and is in another country,

02:18the NBI can get the International Police Crime Organization or INTERPOL to bring this back to the Philippines.

02:26We will just write to INTERPOL to help us bring this back to us.

02:30Extradition.

02:31The NBI is only helping other government agencies such as the Department of Information and Communications Technology

02:37and the National Telecommunications Commission.
