00:00Thank you so much, Congressman.
00:03Any questions?
00:04Yes, sir.
00:05Good morning.
00:06I want to ask about mobilization.
00:07Can you say you want to get people mobilized, get people to understand what this would mean
00:18for them?
00:19So much leading up to the last election was also about that mobilization, trying to get
00:22out the vote.
00:23What have you been able to learn since then that would provide different results?
00:28So when I talk about mobilizations, particularly around Medicaid, it's getting doctors back
00:32in their home districts, getting doctors that in many ways are supporters of these Republican
00:38members of Congress, hospital administrators, sitting down with them one-on-one saying,
00:44look, if you kept Medicaid, here's what it's going to do to our emergency rooms.
00:48Here's what it's going to do to our ability to stay open.
00:51Here's what it's going to do to our community clinics.
00:53So it really is – it's great for us to mobilize in Washington, D.C., but we want
00:57this message in their districts, from their constituents, from their supporters.
01:01And they've already said that they're not going to do the town halls that they saw
01:04maybe a month ago.
01:05Does that change on how you would respond and try to get out that message as well?
01:09I mean, we might be going into their districts doing town halls of – you know, it's hard
01:13to win elections if you're not talking to your constituents.
01:15So I could see a number of Democrats, if Republicans are not doing in adjacent districts, going
01:22in and saying, let's have a town hall with hospital workers, with doctors, with others.
01:27We've got two months to do this.
01:28We've got two months to make the case.
01:30A lot of the Republicans understand that this would hurt their districts, this would hurt
01:34their constituents.
01:35Again, 400,000 Medicaid recipients in David Valodeo's district.
01:40We want to make sure that if he takes that vote, he understands he's hurting the people
01:44that he works for.
01:45And just one question on China for you.
