00:12Hello.
00:15Hello, everyone.
00:19Thank you all for coming.
00:21Good evening to you at home and welcome to The Jonathan Ross Show.
00:25And we have got a fabulous line-up for you tonight,
00:27so let's have a look at who's in my green room.
00:29First up is a national hero with an amazing success story
00:33who won gold in the 800m at the Olympics
00:36before winning Sports Personality of the Year.
00:38It is, of course, the fabulous Keeley Hodgkinson.
00:41CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
00:46Alongside Keeley is a man who's got...
00:49Get these. These are impressive figures.
00:51He has got 94 restaurants,
00:53eight Michelin stars
00:55and now six kids.
00:58Very successful and, I'm sure, also very tired, Gordon Ramsay.
01:02CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
01:07Plus, we have, and you're going to love this,
01:10we have an actor who never fails to entertain,
01:12whether he's Mick in EastEnders,
01:14Freddie in Rivals
01:16or himself in Danny Dyer's Deadliest Men.
01:18It's everyone's favourite cockney geezer, Danny Dyer.
01:21CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
01:23That's the hammers, I believe.
01:28We also have a bona fide showbiz legend on the show
01:32and what an incredible career.
01:34She won Miss America, she had a string of great hits,
01:37including Save The Best For Last,
01:39she conquered TV in Ugly Betty
01:41and is now starring in the smash hit musical
01:43The Devil Wears Prada here in the West End.
01:45It's Vanessa Williams!
01:47CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
01:50And if that weren't enough,
01:52we also have one of the most exciting new actors around,
01:55who we've probably seen starring opposite Nicole Kidman
01:58in the brilliant movie Baby Girl.
02:00It's Harris Dickinson!
02:02CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
02:05And that's not all, even that's not all,
02:07because we have great music for you tonight
02:09from a genuine superstar.
02:11She's one of the all-time greats,
02:13she's one of my all-time favourite musicians,
02:15she's got a new album out which is fabulous,
02:17she's going to be amazing, it is Joan Armatrading!
02:20CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
02:23For much of the country, of course, it's been half-term this week,
02:26so firstly, to any parents out there,
02:28my thoughts and prayers are with you,
02:30because it's tough keeping the kids entertained during half-term.
02:33We love playing hide-and-seek with the kids,
02:35and take a look, some of them are very good at it.
02:37Take a look at this little ninja.
02:39Hide and seek.
02:41One, two, three,
02:45four, five...
02:48LAUGHTER
02:50..seven, eight, nine, ten.
02:53CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
02:55That's three, isn't it?
02:57Now, the weather's getting warmer, of course,
02:59and sometimes it's better to take the kids out,
03:01and that's how you get some fresh air,
03:03they go to the park and get some fresh air,
03:05and also you can teach them some important lessons
03:07about health and safety.
03:12LAUGHTER
03:17AUDIENCE GROANS
03:20LAUGHTER
03:24APPLAUSE
03:30I don't think that kid is going to have any more brothers or sisters.
03:34Shall we get on with the show?
03:36OK, let's get my first guests out.
03:39It's Harris Dickinson, Keeley Hodgkinson and Gordon Ramsay.
03:43CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
03:51CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
04:02It's lovely to have you all here, thank you all for joining me.
04:05Let me start with you, Keeley, what a year it's been for you.
04:08Amazing year. We had the gold at Paris, you received an MBE.
04:12Yeah. And Sports Personality of the Year as well.
04:15Yeah. Well, I mean, has it...
04:17CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
04:21So, next year, how are you going to top that?
04:24LAUGHTER
04:26Yeah, honestly, I don't know. It's definitely been a special year for me.
04:29I've loved every second of it, but, like you say,
04:31how do you cope on better than that?
04:33Well, you know how you cope. I know you've got something,
04:35your sight's on something, but we'll get to that in a minute,
04:37if you can achieve that. But first of all, I think,
04:39let's remind ourselves of the moment.
04:41Did you guys watch the Olympics? Did you get to see the Olympics?
04:43Yeah. Did you see Keeley win? Yeah. Absolutely.
04:45I can't even run for the bus without getting a...
04:47LAUGHTER
04:49OK, well, then, you'll be in more field of respect
04:51when we revisit that moment.
04:53This is Keeley at the Olympics. Enjoy this.
04:56And it's the two big names out the front.
04:58Mary Mora can be very strong in the home straight.
05:01Keeley Hodgkinson, with Mary Mora on her shoulders.
05:05Surely this is where Keeley has to put her foot down.
05:07Surely this is where she goes away.
05:09Keeley Hodgkinson, she's already looking up at the screen.
05:13Finishing very quickly as Daguba, but she's not going to catch Keeley!
05:18Keeley Hodgkinson gets the gold!
05:23Gold for Keeley.
05:25Gold for Great Britain.
05:28Gold for being brilliant.
05:32What a win.
05:34Do you watch that back much, or do you not look back on it?
05:37No, I do like to watch back.
05:39I feel like sometimes it's a nice little reminder, a little motivator.
05:43So, yeah, the first time I watched it back
05:45was, like, 4am after the race, so...
05:47Reminded you when you got back? Yeah.
05:49Just to remind you that you actually did it?
05:51Yeah, just to make sure it actually happened.
05:53And did you party afterwards? Did you have a big night afterwards?
05:56Well, unfortunately, the glamour after track and field isn't so great,
06:00so I had anti-doping straight after.
06:02I probably left the track at, like, 1am, went to see my family
06:05and then was back at 4am, up at 6am for an hour,
06:08a whole day of media.
06:10Wow, that doesn't sound... But then I went to Marbella, so it's OK.
06:15As we know in Marbella, no anti-doping, so you can have a great time.
06:19But you're only 22. That's what's amazing.
06:21You're only 22. And was it always going to be running for you,
06:24or were there other kind of sports or other careers that you had in mind?
06:27I did start off swimming.
06:29I was kind of inspired by Rebecca Adlington back in 2008.
06:32Me and my dad used to kind of go back and forth.
06:34He used to tell me I had a talent in running,
06:36and I was like, oh, so you think I'm really bad at swimming, then?
06:39Fair enough.
06:40And we had this argument for about a year,
06:42and then, when I was about 12, decided to make the switch back to athletics,
06:45and I've been building up ever since.
06:47Well, and doing amazingly well, so it was the right choice.
06:50Obviously, Dad did know something. Apparently so.
06:53Harry, as well, because you are also a very young man.
06:56Well, you're not a young man, you're also a very young person.
06:59Right. But was it always acting for you?
07:01Was that what you always had in your heart?
07:03No, I mean, I did a few different things.
07:05I really wanted... I really loved it as a kid,
07:07but I didn't know it was going to be a job.
07:09I was a bin man for a bit, which I liked.
07:13Was that like going round people's houses or in a park?
07:16No, it was like different events, and then I got assigned to a park.
07:19When the woman that employed me sort of trusted me,
07:22she gave me like a more full-time plot of land,
07:25where she said, this is yours now, you're in control of that bin, that bin.
07:28Do you know what I mean? It was like the trust was built.
07:31The more bins, the more trusted you are?
07:33Yeah, exactly, yeah, yeah, yeah. So I had three, yeah.
07:37Could they... Would it have been different for you, Keeley,
07:40if you hadn't gone into...?
07:42What were you planning to do if sport hadn't become your thing?
07:45I was actually... I wanted to go in the army, which Kelly Holmes did it,
07:49and, you know, she went on to be a great athlete.
07:52I think, to be fair, it was this man came into school
07:55and I just heard the money was good.
07:59And I was, like, 16 years old getting that pay,
08:02like, outside of school, yeah.
08:04But I decided to stick to athletics.
08:06Well, that's motivation in one way, but I'm glad you're there.
08:09Speaking vaguely of the Olympics,
08:11Gordon has some exciting news in his life, of course,
08:13because your daughter has recently got engaged, Holly,
08:16to a double Olympic champion.
08:18That's right, yeah, Adam. Adam Peaty. Yes.
08:20Which is amazing. Amazing. Amazing, yeah.
08:24Lots of exciting talk at the wedding this year.
08:27There's going to be a Christmas wedding
08:29and they're looking at sort of areas and venues and lots of planning.
08:32Did he do the traditional thing?
08:34Did he come and speak to you and ask your permission to propose to her?
08:37Yeah, I mean, it's not really permission,
08:39but, I mean, he's a very, very nice guy,
08:41and so down-to-earth and just so focused and disciplined,
08:44so he sat us down in Cornwall and said,
08:46can I have a word?
08:47I actually thought we were going off fishing, to be honest.
08:50It would be a lot cheaper than the wedding.
08:52And he just said, look, you know, Holly's just the perfect woman
08:57and I'd like to get your blessing from you and Tana
09:00for, you know, a hand in marriage.
09:02And it was just that amazing sort of moment,
09:04everything just went quiet and just, yeah, as a future son-in-law,
09:07we couldn't have asked for anything better.
09:09He's just, he's on it.
09:10So, no disrespect, Gordon.
09:13Oh, shit.
09:14But if you were going to be my father-in-law... Right.
09:16..I would be worried about the speech you would make at the wedding.
09:21So, are you going to plan something?
09:23Oh, it's going to be short and simple.
09:25It will go, yeah, don't fuck this up.
09:28It's the first real outside family member
09:31to come into the household, so it gets a little bit competitive
09:35between him and Jack and myself when we're swimming.
09:38And so, you know...
09:39And presumably, though, he beats you quite easily.
09:43I mean, I don't know why you bother to be competitive
09:47with a double Olympic gold medal winner.
09:49No, no, but he does at breaststroke, yes.
09:52I tell you what, after the show,
09:53why don't you challenge Keeley to a race around the block?
09:56What's wrong with you?
09:58But let's get back to something you're good at.
10:00Let's talk about...
10:01Let's talk about cooking and restaurants,
10:03because the exciting news is,
10:04and the reason why Gordon's here tonight,
10:06he's just opened a brand-new restaurant here in London.
10:08Yeah. It's called Lucky Cat.
10:10I believe it's at Bishopgate in London,
10:12and I believe it's the highest restaurant in London.
10:15In Europe, actually. In Europe? Yes, in Europe, yeah.
10:17Wow. Yeah, 300 metres in the sky.
10:19And you've got other things in the same building.
10:21You've got a bar there,
10:22and also you've set up the Gordon Ramsay Academy.
10:24Yes, Colour Academy, yeah.
10:25And so you're teaching people to cook?
10:27That's right, yeah. I mean, it's stunning.
10:29It's a 12-seater academy with this amazing state-of-the-art kitchen.
10:32And you've got Lucky Cat Bar, then the Lucky Cat restaurant.
10:35And the views are spectacular. I mean, just breathtaking.
10:37But how's the new restaurant going? Is it going great?
10:39We're days old.
10:40There's a couple of issues with guests stealing the little Lucky Cats.
10:44OK, hold it.
10:45OK, so I went to the restaurant in the interest of research.
10:47Yes.
10:48I've got to be honest with you, the food was amazing, OK?
10:50Absolutely superb. And the view, come on.
10:52Well, you say the view.
10:54I've got this view, 60th floor.
10:56I went, I'm not making this up, I went on a Saturday lunchtime...
10:59Go on. ..two weeks ago.
11:00I've taken a photograph to prove it.
11:02Yes.
11:03This is my table at the restaurant. Have a look at this.
11:05This is the view I had.
11:08That's the view we got.
11:10That's superimposed.
11:11No, that's the 60th floor.
11:13There's a cloud outside the window.
11:15And we've got another...
11:16Put another one of my pictures up to prove it.
11:18Look, look.
11:19This is the view we had the whole...
11:21This is the worst view in any restaurant I've ever been in my life.
11:25I'll be honest with you, when you go in, if you go there,
11:27I think they put you on a lift, I mean, one door opens,
11:29doesn't go up, just opens the other door,
11:31you're still on the ground floor.
11:33With white windows.
11:34That's bullshit. You superimposed that.
11:36Here's the view he said we should have.
11:37Look at the shadow of the picture. And it is...
11:40And then the night-time view looked really beautiful.
11:42He showed me a night-time view picture.
11:44Look.
11:45It does look stunning.
11:46But did you not wait for the cloud to pass?
11:48I had a lunch, I had to go home.
11:50I can't sit around for six hours in your restaurant,
11:52waiting for a view.
11:54What kind of a treatment is that?
11:55I'm a customer. Don't tell me what to do.
11:59But we got a problem with the toilets as well.
12:01Did you go to the bathroom?
12:02Of course I went to the bathroom.
12:04I'm a man in his 60s, I went to the bathroom seven times.
12:07No, but there's lots of couples going in there
12:10and sort of treating it as like the Mahal sort of bathroom.
12:13Oh, no.
12:14Because of the views.
12:15And it's like, Mario said,
12:16Gordon, we've got a problem with the bathroom.
12:18I said, what's wrong?
12:19What do you mean, they're not coming out?
12:21How can they not come out of the restaurant?
12:22Who let them in?
12:23What are they doing in there?
12:24So they're going in as a couple and it's a sort of...
12:26They're having sex in the toilet.
12:27I don't know about that.
12:28Well, that's what you're implying.
12:30But there's a shelf and the views are just spectacular.
12:32And now...
12:33The cats are getting stolen at night, OK?
12:35Well, now, hold it. The cats you're talking about...
12:37Now, hold it. Are you talking about these cats?
12:39No, no, stop.
12:40These are the cats.
12:41Oh, my God!
12:42No, listen.
12:43Listen.
12:44These are what they had, the chopsticks on the table.
12:46I thought you were allowed to take them home.
12:48What do you think about it?
12:49This is on the table.
12:50Oh, my God.
12:51I took them home.
12:53And they're quality, feel that.
12:54It's a quality thing.
12:55Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
12:56Do you want to feel one?
12:57So, if you went there and that was on your table,
12:59you would take it home, wouldn't you?
13:00You've got about six of them.
13:01I've got four.
13:02That's almighty.
13:03We left four. There were eight of us.
13:04We could have had more.
13:05There was 477 stolen last week.
13:07They cost £4.50 each, for God's sake.
13:09You shouldn't make them so nice and so small.
13:12No, I genuinely thought this was a gift from the restaurant.
13:14I thought, isn't that lovely?
13:15I went out and my pockets were chinking
13:18and I thought...
13:19No, I genuinely thought we were allowed to take them home.
13:21Did you steal the big cats from the bathrooms as well?
13:23I didn't steal, I took one because I thought that was...
13:26Because they had them for sale in the restaurant
13:28and I thought that was a thing.
13:30£200 each, for fuck's sake.
13:32You can't steal that.
13:33Not the way I get them, they're not...
13:35Oh, my God.
13:37Well, listen...
13:38I mean, seriously...
13:41Are you big foodies? Do you eat out a lot?
13:43Can you cook?
13:44I think I can cook.
13:45I get voted best chef on training camp.
13:47Wow. Oh, that's good. I'll take that win.
13:49And what do you do when you're away and cancel stuff?
13:51Do you get equipment in the kind of area,
13:53the flat you're in, the apartment you're in?
13:55Do they give you stuff to cook with
13:56or do you have to go out to the communal areas to eat?
13:58OK, so, Tokyo Olympics.
14:00I was 19.
14:01I was just starting my chefing journey, really.
14:04And the food hall was a good, like, ten-minute walk away.
14:09Now I'm trying to save my energy, you know,
14:11I've got finals to run and things like that.
14:13I needed a porridge in the morning,
14:15so I didn't have any microwave,
14:17so I used the kettle to, like, boil the milk.
14:20What?
14:21And, honestly, it works.
14:23If you just time it right,
14:24like, you can't let it boil all the way through.
14:26Because then it's spoiled, isn't it?
14:28Yeah, and then it, like, burns the bottom
14:30and then other people have got to use the kettle.
14:32Disgusting.
14:33So you just have to time it right, wait for the slight,
14:35before it boils and then lift it up,
14:37put it in your oats and then you've got some porridge.
14:40I learned that at the Gordon Ramsay...
14:44..school.
14:46But speaking of milk, Harris...
14:50How many people here have seen the film Baby Girl?
14:52OK.
14:53If you've seen Baby Girl, you know where we're going with this.
14:55If you haven't, then you've got a treat in store.
14:57Because there's a key scene in it.
14:58Well, first of all, could you set the movie up,
15:00for those who haven't seen it yet?
15:01And if you haven't, you should go and see it,
15:03because it's a great experience.
15:04It's a very different sort of film, it's very fun as well,
15:06it's sexy and it's kind of, like, also very thought-provoking.
15:09But if you could sum up what the plot is.
15:11Yeah, so Nicole Kidman plays a CEO of a robotics company
15:15and my character comes in as an intern
15:18and we basically have this, like, illicit affair
15:20and that is the film, unfortunately.
15:22But it's more than just an illicit affair,
15:24it's not like just getting together,
15:25there's a quality to it, isn't there?
15:27Yeah, there's like a...
15:28There's an exploration of our desires as well.
15:31I think the director was really interested
15:33in trying to explore what it means to...
15:36For someone who hasn't explored their sexuality properly
15:39or been liberated properly, what that means
15:41and how that holds people back, in a way.
15:43And the film isn't even that explicit.
15:45I mean, if you watch it, really, the most, like, explicit thing
15:48is probably the milk drinking, for example.
15:50It's not, like, a rude...
15:51You know, my mum thought it was going to be a really, like,
15:53raunchy film when she watched it.
15:54She was like, I wore a turtleneck in case she needed to...
15:57But it's not, you know, it's more, like, psychological.
15:59Hold it, hold it. Yeah, go on.
16:01Did you go and see this film with your mother?
16:03No, so...
16:05No, she came to a screening and I did a Q&A.
16:08Good. Hold it, so you were there while your mother was watching it?
16:11I was backstage, I didn't sit and watch it with her.
16:13No, no, OK. Because it is...
16:14Because one of the things about it, obviously,
16:16the character Harris plays is obviously younger
16:18than the character Nicole Kidman plays,
16:20and it's sort of about the power dynamics... Yeah.
16:22..in a relationship as well as in society as well, I guess.
16:25Yeah. Let's have a look at a clip.
16:27Have you seen it, Keeley?
16:30Did you enjoy it?
16:34OK, let's have a look. This is a clip from Baby Girl
16:36and it's probably not one to watch with your parents
16:38or if you're a parent with your kids,
16:40but it's a great piece of cinema. Look at this.
16:42We're going to do this.
16:44We need to set some rules that you and I both agree on.
16:47Did you order this?
16:49Starting with...
16:52..I tell you what to do and you do it.
16:55And if I don't?
16:57Get on your knees. No! What?
16:59Get on your knees now. I'm...
17:02Is that what you want?
17:06You're very young. I don't want to hurt you.
17:10Hurt me? I think I have power over you.
17:13Because I can make one call and you lose everything.
17:16Does that turn you on when it's late?
17:19Oh, hey, you forgot your laptop at the office.
17:22Mum, can Mary sleep on it?
17:25I genuinely believe women with power would behave differently.
17:29Want to stop?
17:39You seem liberated.
17:41I've never experienced anything like this.
17:47Good girl.
17:49Good girl.
17:59What's the reaction been?
18:01Because obviously you're playing a young man
18:03who has a sexual relation with an older woman.
18:06Have you had older women talk to you about the film?
18:09Yeah, I mean...
18:11I don't mean, like, no.
18:13I mean, like, fans, if you're out, does an older woman say,
18:16like, hello?
18:18Well, yeah, yeah, yeah.
18:20I mean, we...
18:22In America, after the film came out, in December,
18:25we had some funny chats with people.
18:28I mean, you know, the older generation of women
18:31tend to be a bit more forthcoming with, you know...
18:35Why not? They haven't got much time.
18:37Exactly.
18:39You get to our age, you've got to get to the point, haven't you, Gordon?
18:42Yeah.
18:44But a woman came up to me and she tickled me and said...
18:50Honey, I can't wait to get home and use that vibrator.
18:55What do you say to that? What do you say to that?
18:57I mean, what do you even reply?
18:59I don't know what you say.
19:01But, Keely, your fan base is very different to this kind of thing,
19:04and I know what's lovely about what you do
19:06is you're inspiring a whole generation of younger people
19:08to get in the sport and lots of younger women as well
19:10to follow in your footsteps.
19:12The Keely Classic, which you were meant to be winning at,
19:14but you couldn't run.
19:16No, unfortunately, I tore my hamstring.
19:18Ouch.
19:20Yeah, disappointing. And such bad timing.
19:23It was, unfortunately, just the worst outcome we could have had.
19:26But the weekend was still a success, despite me not running.
19:30We still had some great British records done by...
19:33There we go. Amazing.
19:35DJ Tony Perry. A bit of DJing.
19:37He was great. He's done the World Cup.
19:39Because you were hoping you were going for a record this weekend,
19:41weren't you?
19:42Yeah, I was going to try and break the world indoor record.
19:45Fun fact, it was set on the exact day I was born.
19:47Wow.
19:48Yeah, 3rd March 2002.
19:50Unfortunately, it stands for another year.
19:52I'll give it a go next year.
19:54But I'll also miss the European Championships
19:56and the World Indoor Championships.
19:58So it was a bit of a tough one to take.
20:00That's awful. And how did it happen? What happened?
20:02Yeah, it wasn't expected. It was at the end of a training session.
20:05So I was just doing some strides.
20:07And, yeah, I just absolutely killed this workout.
20:10And the last rep, I just felt this, like, pull.
20:13So I stopped, tried to tell myself it wasn't that bad.
20:16And then a day later, I went for a scan and it revealed a tear.
20:19Have you ever pulled anything, Gordon?
20:24I rushed with my Achilles literally five years ago and snapped.
20:27It's terrible.
20:28But that's why you shouldn't... That's a bad one.
20:30Because you're about to do another Ironman, aren't you?
20:32Yeah, July. July. And how old are you now?
20:34I'm 58 now. Is that a good idea?
20:37We have a foundation for Great Wall Street Children's Hospital,
20:39so every year there's two or three.
20:41And I need that target every year, so six months bang on,
20:44just to stay on point and trim and just fit as a fiddle.
20:49OK, we're going to take a break, ladies and gentlemen,
20:51but don't go away, because up next we'll be joined
20:53by the fabulous Danny Dyer. See you in a couple of minutes.
21:06Welcome back to the show. Let's get my next guest out.
21:09He's an actor who's as cockney as a jellied eel
21:12dressed as a pearly king driving a black car.
21:14The one and only Danny Dyer.
21:32How lovely. Sit yourself down, Danny.
21:36Danny, it's great to have Danny Dyer with us, isn't it?
21:38It's a pleasure. I love Danny.
21:40OK, so with Danny on the show and Gordon on the show,
21:43we have got the two men who have sworn the most on this programme
21:46over the years. I've got the stats here.
21:49Are you ready for this?
21:50So, Gordon Ramsay has made seven appearances on this show.
21:53Go on. Has dropped the F-bomb 32 times.
21:564.57 F-bombs per episode.
22:00Young Mr Dyer here. That's time. That is time.
22:02Well, Danny, six appearances. One less appearance than Gordon.
22:06Go on. 32 F-bombs.
22:095.33 bombs per episode.
22:11So you are the winner.
22:17Frankly, I thought it was a lot more.
22:19Oh, I did. I'm very surprised at that.
22:21Sorry about the glasses. I'm slowly morphing into Ray Winston.
22:25It's a very natural progression.
22:27Is this an eyesight thing? Yeah, I can't see anymore.
22:30Is it because of the lights or you've got short-sightedness?
22:33No, I'm getting old. I'm a grandfather.
22:35You're a grandfather? Yes. How many grandkids have you got?
22:38Three. Three? I've got three of the fuckers.
22:42There's a first one.
22:44Gordon, you don't have any grandkids yet. Fuck all.
22:50You see, now I realise this is my fault.
22:56So two of your grandchildren have appeared since the last time you were on the show.
22:59Yes. They're recent members of the family, aren't they?
23:02Twins. You've got Summer and Star.
23:04Twins? Yeah. Both one years old. How are they?
23:07Look at them. They are adorable.
23:09Yeah, they're amazing. We call them the Terribles
23:12because they terrorise you, you know what I mean?
23:17They're a gift, to be fair.
23:19Yeah, they terrorise me. I've had them a couple of times
23:22and I just say, Dan, that's enough now.
23:25Do you know what I mean?
23:27So they're very different.
23:29So when you say, what, they just wear you out or are they up to mischief?
23:32Well, they're off, mate. They're 100 miles an hour.
23:34It's bad enough with one of them.
23:36So they just want to destroy things in front of them.
23:39They've got an obsession with my dog, Debbie. It's a bulldog.
23:43Debbie the bulldog?
23:46And they're obsessed with her arse, Jon.
23:50And I say that in a way they want to stick things up her arse.
23:54So they're clever.
23:56So one will distract her while the other one,
24:00and I swear this is the truth,
24:02tries to stick an aeroplane...
24:07I think they're trying to test what will go up there.
24:10I'm feeling very sorry for Debbie in this whole situation.
24:13No, but she's got such a lovely nature.
24:15She doesn't get the hump about it.
24:17Can't you put some trousers on her or something?
24:20You can't put trousers on a bulldog, Jon.
24:23No, you've got to let her arse breathe, you know what I mean?
24:26All right, let's talk about families in general.
24:30Because we know your dad encouraged you to run early on.
24:34Harris, did your mum... Cos you were raised by your mum, weren't you?
24:37Yeah, yeah, and one of four of my mum did a wicked job of her shirt.
24:40She was a hairdresser.
24:41But did she have a salon or where did she do that?
24:43No, she did it from home, so she did it from our kitchen.
24:46So I'd pot her downstairs most days in my pants
24:49and I'd be like, you know, an older woman in the kitchen
24:52getting her hair permed or something.
24:54Hang on, so this is where it all started?
24:57And you would give her some milk from the fridge?
25:02OK, so, you know, we know that Gordon's getting ready
25:05for his daughter's wedding. Yes.
25:07OK, and I believe you will have to obviously get ready
25:10for your daughter's wedding as well. Yes.
25:12OK, did he, we asked Gordon this question,
25:14did the young man who's going to marry you, Danny,
25:17come and ask you for permission?
25:19And I know he does something, his professional career
25:22is something that you are very excited about.
25:24Well, it's a mad thing, isn't it, the idea of giving your daughter away?
25:27I don't quite like the idea of that, right?
25:29If you're going to give your daughter away,
25:31give your daughter away to the West End captain.
25:33Wow.
25:34I mean, hang on.
25:38You know, it's amazing.
25:40He's just a very humble, brilliant, beautiful man
25:43who worships the grounds he walks on.
25:46He did call me. Nice, nice.
25:48And asked for my, you know, hand in marriage
25:51and all this sort of stuff, and I was...
25:53I was on the verge of tears.
25:56I was trying to be the Arbann of cults. Yeah.
25:58And, you know, we had a little chat about it,
26:01and then he said, what if she says no?
26:03And I was like, she won't fucking say no.
26:06So that's Gerard Bowie.
26:07But that's an old-school tradition, isn't it?
26:09Yeah, it's a nice thing to do.
26:11Does he come and do sort of, like,
26:13kick around the ball in your garden and stuff?
26:15He has done before.
26:16He came round and he had his top off, you know,
26:18doing kick-ups in the garden.
26:20I was just sort of gawping at him.
26:24I do feel sorry for my other daughter, Sonny.
26:27She's...
26:29There's no man she can ever bring home, really, that can match...
26:34..what this man's achieved.
26:35You can bring home a heart surgeon, you know,
26:37and the Jews are going, you know...
26:39You know, he saves a bit of a paediatrician.
26:41I couldn't give a fuck.
26:43She'll go, listen...
26:45She'll go, look, he's found a cure for cancer,
26:48but he didn't score the winning goal in a European final.
26:51So I'm not interested. Priorities.
26:53That's what it is.
26:54So, you know, yeah, she has brought home the ideal man for me.
26:58Which is a rare thing, to be fair.
27:01We've recently seen a different Sideshow on screen,
27:04which I'm pleased to see.
27:05I mean, I think not that different,
27:07because you played a very lovable character in EastEnders as well.
27:10I don't know how many of you saw the series Rivals,
27:12which has been released on TV, which is great.
27:14It was such a great show,
27:16and you played such a lovable character in it.
27:18It was very nice to see you playing someone
27:20who was kind of gentler and more thoughtful
27:22and kind of restrained in that way.
27:24And I'm wondering, did that open up a new fan base?
27:26Did new people come to you?
27:27Yeah, no, absolutely.
27:28It's been a revelation to me, do you know what I mean?
27:31It's... You know, I'm not the lead part in it,
27:33so it was a smaller role.
27:35You know, me with Atash,
27:37I thought I was going to get a lot of shit for it.
27:40And actually it turned out, you know, the broadsheets
27:43and all the people that thought I was a fucking joke
27:46all of a sudden are saying I'm fucking Marlon Brando,
27:48and I'm a bit like...
27:50You know, it's like a backhanded sort of compliment.
27:52I've always backed myself as an actor, do you know what I mean?
27:54It's just about doing different things and having opportunities.
27:57So, again, it's a revelation to me.
27:59I'm like... Do you know what it is?
28:01I think the character in the show, he's a powerful man,
28:05he's the richest man in the whole thing, but he's kind.
28:08And I think that, you know, for some reason,
28:10you know, kindness became sexy.
28:12And, you know, he sees this woman for who she is and all that.
28:15And, you know, people sort of...
28:17I don't know, it's hit differently for some reason.
28:19That is what it's really lovely about it.
28:21So it's changed, really, the fan base?
28:23Presumably, I meant...
28:24Yeah, I think I've become wank material for sort of like middle...
28:27Middle upper class...
28:29I'm just being frank with you, that's the truth.
28:32You know, I have a lot of, you know, sort of nutty messages from...
28:35I don't know what it is, I'm taking it as a compliment.
28:38Keely, I'm going to ask you a question now,
28:40but don't worry, it's not the same one.
28:42I apologise, Keely, I know, it's just...
28:44Keely, has your fan base changed since winning the Olympics?
28:47Obviously, you had people who were fans,
28:49people who knew what you were doing,
28:50there were people who really admired you
28:51and young people who looked up to you.
28:53But since getting that medal,
28:54do you get approached by a different sort of person?
28:56No, I get some lovely stories from, like, young boys and girls
28:59who've watched Paris, and I think one of my goals is, like,
29:01obviously trying to inspire the next generation.
29:03It's track and field, pick up something from sport.
29:05I think you can learn a lot from sport in your life.
29:08Yeah, but that must be a lovely thing, though,
29:10because obviously, did you have someone who you were looking up to
29:12in the same way when you were starting out?
29:14Who were your kind of idols?
29:16I really loved Serena Williams and Jessica Ennis-Hill.
29:19She kind of inspired me back into the sport when I was, like, 12.
29:22In London 2012, she was the star girl.
29:24She is amazing.
29:25Let's talk about Danny's new film, OK?
29:27I've seen Danny's new film, I really enjoyed it.
29:29And it's a love story, unashamedly working class.
29:32Yes.
29:33Which is one of the things I really enjoyed about it,
29:35because, you know, I love cinema, but a lot of cinema does come from,
29:38is made by middle-class people,
29:39or it has a kind of middle-class kind of world view.
29:42And often you'll see films set in a work-class environment,
29:45and more often than not it's portrayed as just a kind of hell hole of misery.
29:49And obviously there are aspects of life at any level which are difficult,
29:53but sometimes it's like, I think, where's the fun in that,
29:55and why can't we see both sides?
29:56And that is very much what you got this from.
29:58That's one of the things I really enjoyed about it.
30:00Well, it's about the ridiculousness of masculinity as well, you know,
30:02and we're sort of highlighting that.
30:03It's not a serious film, you know what I mean?
30:06No, it's funny as well.
30:07We're not sneering at the culture at all.
30:08No.
30:09But it is a love story between two people, and it's a lot about addiction.
30:11It takes on, you know, there's a lot of heavy stuff in here.
30:14Let's have a look at a clip.
30:15This is March in Powder.
30:16This is in cinemas on 7th of March.
30:18Have a look at this.
30:21Hi.
30:22Very.
30:24When you married my daughter, you took a vow to take care of her.
30:28Well, we are in for a treat today.
30:30Two great firms meeting in the streets of Grimsby.
30:33Oh, it's a lovely effort.
30:35That's worth a look from another angle.
30:37What a screamer from Jack Jones.
30:40Have probation suggested couples' workshops?
30:43I'd imagine he'd rather give his cocaine to the owners.
30:46I'm a stain on society.
30:48No one wants my type around anymore.
30:50Why do I feel completely fucking irrelevant?
30:52Because you are.
30:53Dad, is mum having an affair?
30:55What makes you say that?
30:56She said that if ever you pick me up from school,
30:59it means she's either dead or run off with another man.
31:03CHEERING
31:09Go and see it at the cinema,
31:11because then you're supporting different voices in British film
31:14and you're supporting British films and, of course, you're supporting Danny Dyer.
31:16And it is great to see you back on the big screen.
31:18And that little boy in the film, am I right in thinking that's your little boy?
31:21That's my actual son, yes.
31:23Yeah, it's weird they couldn't find a kid that was allowed to swear,
31:26cos he does swear in it.
31:28And do you know what? I couldn't have done it with another kid.
31:30I've got a really good close bond with my son
31:32and we improvised a lot of stuff.
31:35I didn't know if he could do it.
31:37He came in, he'd done it, he wasn't that povert.
31:40He did seven days.
31:42He got some readies for it, not much,
31:44which he spunked on something like Call Of Duty
31:46or some of these kids from Fortnite.
31:48He had fun and he's not really spoken about the film
31:50since he's getting on with it.
31:52Has he got the acting bug, do you think?
31:54No, not at all. He's got no interest in it whatsoever.
31:56LAUGHTER
31:58It was a beautiful experience for me and him
32:00just to hang out together and do a film.
32:02I'm really proud of it.
32:04I think it's a really different kind of work.
32:06OK, so March of Powders is out in cinemas on the 7th of March.
32:10I hope you go and see it, cos I'd love to see that film doing well
32:13and other films like it.
32:14And it's great to have Danny back on the big screen.
32:16APPLAUSE
32:19Get yourself out of the house.
32:21Don't go away, because up next we'll be joined by Vanessa Williams.
32:24We'll see you after the break.
32:25APPLAUSE
32:37Welcome back to the show. Let's get my next guest out.
32:40She's a global superstar who's conquered the worlds of TV,
32:43music, fashion and the stage.
32:45That's right, we've saved the best for last.
32:48It's Vanessa Williams.
32:51CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
32:59I love some sanity.
33:04Hi!
33:06Sit down, Vanessa.
33:07Vanessa, what a thrill to have you on the show.
33:09Thank you for joining us. Thank you.
33:11I first interviewed you, I don't know whether I should even say
33:13how long ago it was.
33:14Oh, it's over the 60s club, so it's OK.
33:16It was 1991.
33:18Was it 91 or 94?
33:20No, I did you in 91 and 94.
33:22OK, OK.
33:23But you're back in London. Here's the exciting news.
33:25Vanessa's back in London, starring on the stage in the West End
33:28in The Devil Wears Proud of the musical.
33:30Yes, yes. It's amazing.
33:32CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
33:34And of course, if you remember, it's based on the fabulous film
33:37that had Meryl Streep in, and you have the Meryl Streep...
33:40I play Miranda Priestly, yes, I do.
33:42Miranda, who runs that big Vogue-like magazine.
33:46And, I mean, I've been to see it. It's an amazing spectacle.
33:49We'll talk about the details of it,
33:50but you're doing eight shows a week, I think?
33:52Yeah, eight shows.
33:53And that's, like, six nights and two matinees, is that right?
33:55Yeah, Sundays are our days off, and Wednesday matinees.
33:58You came to our Wednesday.
33:59I came to the Wednesday matinee.
34:01Now, do the audiences differ much from the evening shows
34:03and the matinee shows?
34:04Wednesdays are kind of the blue-rinse Wednesday matinees,
34:06as we say.
34:08Older, you know, I'm not saying anything,
34:10but I'm the same age as you, so...
34:12You're fair enough to say that,
34:13cos the reason why I booked a matinee, I thought,
34:15I'll be out too late.
34:17I'm going to be home in bed by about six, ideally.
34:20And the songs, were they written by Elton John?
34:22Those are all written by Elton John, yeah.
34:24And Shaina Taub did the lyrics,
34:26and it's just been such a pleasure to have people
34:29that know the franchise come and repeat lines.
34:33When I do the Cerulean monologue,
34:35there are people that are waiting for me to say,
34:37Cerulean, and I can hear all the...
34:39They remember it from the film.
34:41And then the people that don't know the film
34:43are surprised at the plot twists.
34:45I'm sure the people that know...
34:47You know, when I fire Emily,
34:49and people that have never seen the movie go...
34:51HE GASPS
34:52And then people laugh at the people that are shocked.
34:54So it's really... It's fascinating.
34:56But the audience really loved, I think, the spectacle of it as well,
34:59because it really goes all out.
35:01It is like an old-time musical should be.
35:03Fashion, choreography, beautiful staging.
35:06But you've always been known for your fashion.
35:08I know you're in something which is about fashion now,
35:10and you were in fashion last week at the BAFTAs.
35:12There were so many pictures of you looking spectacular.
35:15It's quite a big part of your life, I guess, or just your public image?
35:17I love fashion, you know?
35:19And I'm wearing a Pama Rowland.
35:21She's actually done some of my costumes in the show.
35:25So I've always loved fashion.
35:27It's just part of my career, yeah.
35:30Everyone's made an effort tonight, some more successfully than others.
35:33Keely, you look amazing.
35:35So fashion's quite a big part of your life, I guess.
35:37No, I do. I love fashion.
35:38It's a big part of my fashion journey,
35:40but especially when I'm on the track, we all look the same,
35:43we all wear the same uniform,
35:45so I like the look-good, feel-good, do-good kind of motto.
35:48You met Giorgio Armani, did you?
35:50Yeah, I did. Where was that?
35:52Milan.
35:53Well, of course, Milan, darling.
35:56He is the king of Milan.
35:58I'll say that with a...
35:59Yeah, there we go.
36:00He has a real presence.
36:0190 years old, still so involved in all of his work.
36:04Yeah, he was a real treat to meet.
36:06And what did he say to you?
36:08Oh, he came over and put his hand on my cheek and was like,
36:11Bella.
36:12It was, like, really cute, really sweet.
36:14So the design, it looks spectacular, as I said.
36:17It's really amazing.
36:19But it must be draining, I would have thought.
36:21Is it not?
36:22I mean, I know you've always worked and you've always sung.
36:24Yeah.
36:25But that many shows when you're one of the two lead characters.
36:27Yeah, I mean, I hate taking any time off, so I'm always there.
36:30And actually, we've been sold out
36:32since we started previews in October,
36:34so we just extended, so now you can actually buy tickets
36:37for the future.
36:38So it's going through until Christmas next year, I think.
36:40Yeah, yeah, yeah.
36:41How long are you staying in it for?
36:43We'll see, we'll see.
36:45I'm in negotiation mode right now, so we will see.
36:47Yeah, OK, OK.
36:48I love living here, I love the audiences.
36:51My fan base has been incredible.
36:53I love you back.
36:55So you can see Devil Wears Prada at the Dominion,
36:57but you want a book soon to make sure you get Vanessa.
37:00That's right.
37:01And let's see how those negotiations go.
37:04Miranda Priestly is the editor-in-chief of Runway,
37:07not to mention a legend.
37:10A million girls would kill for this job.
37:14Do you read Runway?
37:16Not often.
37:20Yeah!
37:22You're one of nature
37:24Dress your way up
37:26Waterloo, Lord
37:28Dress your way up
37:30Let me show them you are tailor-made
37:33To get ahead of the pack
37:37What if I don't want this life?
37:39Everybody wants to be us.
37:45That's Devil Wears Prada, the Dominion feather in London.
37:50And if, like me, you want to be in bed by six o'clock,
37:53the matinee is perfect.
37:55It was great.
37:56What an incredible career you had there.
37:58It was an amazing career.
37:59Now I think of you as being such a successful stage icon,
38:02but before that, you first came to prominence as Miss America.
38:05When I was 20.
38:06So I know what it's like being famous at 22,
38:09which is your year.
38:11You look back at yourself and it's amazing how quickly you grow up
38:15because you have to manage all the press,
38:18making sure that you know who you are
38:21and to kind of be authentic in your own self.
38:23So I understand your responsibility and your struggle
38:27and the triumph.
38:29It's a lot of stuff packed in that package.
38:32Yeah, I was 20 when I won and it's been 41 years.
38:37Amazing.
38:38I think we should get Keeley to take your number
38:40in case she needs any advice
38:41because you're obviously going to be a great mental figure for her.
38:43I'm always here.
38:44Let's talk about your singing career, though.
38:45I did a little bit.
38:46I paid homage to one of your bigger hits at the beginning there,
38:48but that song is such an earworm.
38:51Man, as soon as you hear that again, even my version,
38:53it gets stuck in your head.
38:55That must have been a great time, to be in the charts
38:58and to be singing and working as a performer back then
39:00when the music was so great.
39:02And I also heard that it was for a gravy commercial here
39:04back in the day.
39:05I think they used Save The Best For Laugh.
39:07I think it was a Bisto commercial.
39:09Yeah.
39:10You go and save the best for last.
39:12Does anyone remember that at all?
39:17But just then, that little bit of singing,
39:20I think let's do the whole song, come on.
39:22That's amazing.
39:24We're going to take a break now, but don't go away
39:26because we've got more chat from our guests
39:28and some fabulous music from Joan Armatrading,
39:30so see you after the break.
39:42Welcome back to the show.
39:43As you can see, all my guests are still here with me.
39:45Harris, I want to ask you a question about something
39:47and find out whether there's any truth to this story I've heard.
39:50I read that you had an unusual experience at the cinema
39:55involving another patron.
39:57Do you know of which I speak?
39:59I do, I do know of which you speak.
40:01God, this is...
40:02Sounds heavy, this.
40:03Yeah.
40:04I just want to know whether it's true or not.
40:06No, it's true. It was a weird one.
40:08I went to watch a film at a cinema in London, Prince Charles.
40:11I don't know if you've been there.
40:13I know, it's a lovely cinema.
40:14Nice cinema.
40:15It was a long film with a mate and took my shoes off.
40:19It was a longer film.
40:20I thought, it's OK to do.
40:22It was, like, three hours, you know what I mean?
40:24It felt acceptable.
40:26The film starts and I was playing...
40:29I was sort of fiddling with a seat in front of me
40:31and it was like a... I thought it was the seat.
40:34Then about 25 minutes in, I started to feel,
40:38like, this isn't a seat, this is, like...
40:40This is a head.
40:42And then...
40:43It was a head, like a human head,
40:45and, like, a bald head.
40:48And...
40:49And then I sort of looked over the seat
40:51and there was a man laying down there and...
40:54He was massaging someone's bald nut.
40:58Wow.
40:59Yeah, and then as I sort of saw him,
41:01he, like, scurried away, which...
41:03Well, don't blame him.
41:05He went away to get you a glass of milk.
41:09OK, and can I ask you one other thing?
41:11I know you might not be able to talk about it,
41:13but I've read online that you are currently
41:15one of the names being properly considered
41:17to play James Bond.
41:19CHEERING
41:21It would be nice, but I think you'd be a good Bond, Jonathan.
41:24Obviously, I'd be a better Bond.
41:26What are you laughing at?
41:29Have you ever been asked to play any of those big roles like that, Danny?
41:32What, James Bond?
41:33Well, no, not James Bond.
41:36Shit!
41:38No, but, like, in a franchise, like, if it was a Marvel film,
41:40have Marvel people come to you and been like that?
41:42No, no, not yet, you know.
41:44Harry Potter, did you get a Harry Potter call?
41:46Harry Potter? Yeah.
41:49Well, you could have been, like, a groundsman or something.
41:52A gravedigger or something.
41:54Yeah, yeah.
41:55Er, no, no, no, no.
41:57No, that's cool.
41:58You never know, though, Jon, you never know.
42:00Fingers crossed.
42:01I'd see him as a Bond, though, for sure.
42:03Yes!
42:04Do you reckon? Yeah.
42:05Well, I know...
42:06We've got something for the next one.
42:08Keely, you're a huge James Bond fan, aren't you?
42:10I like James Bond, yeah, a huge fan of...
42:13Yeah. Yeah, I like watching them.
42:15Watch this picture.
42:16I've got you here, a picture of you with the Aston Martin.
42:18And I think that is...
42:19Is that one of the ones they used in the film?
42:21It is.
42:22I got to drive...
42:23It's got all the gadgets.
42:24See, I'm driving round Milton Keynes
42:26and I'm pressing the gun button at the lights.
42:28LAUGHTER
42:30That was a lot of fun.
42:31The Aston Martin treated me to that
42:33after winning silver in Tokyo.
42:35That's amazing. That's cool.
42:36OK, here's the thing.
42:38Danny.
42:39Yes. Danny D.
42:41I'm going to ask this as well about you.
42:43Go on.
42:44That you have plans... Mm-hm.
42:46..outside of the acting world... Go on.
42:48..to run a certain kind of vacation destination for people.
42:52Yes.
42:53Yeah, I'm going to invest some dough into a caravan site.
42:57LAUGHTER
42:58Because I went to caravans, you know, as my holiday as a kid,
43:01Canvey Island.
43:03I realise what a tight-fucking-mile man I was now,
43:05because, you know, caravans were a thing for me.
43:08It's very much about nostalgia,
43:09and I've seen that Jeremy Clarkson's cracking right on with his farm,
43:12so I'm going to...
43:13So you're going to do a TV show about it as well?
43:15No, I'm going to try and run a caravan site, yes.
43:17Try and bring back the British holiday somewhere.
43:19But a caravan is a good holiday.
43:20You don't want to get stuck behind one on the motorway,
43:22but when you're actually there...
43:23No, I'm talking about, you know, the ones at the station.
43:25Yeah, oh, a station. Statics.
43:26You know, little club houses.
43:27My sister's got one.
43:28Your sister's got one? Yeah.
43:30My mum's got one as well.
43:31So your mum...
43:33You're the richest man in this room.
43:35LAUGHTER
43:36Your mum holidays in a static caravan.
43:39It's a nice caravan, isn't it?
43:41I bet it's got utility room and all that.
43:43She lives in the caravan.
43:45Jesus Christ!
43:46LAUGHTER
43:48This is like elder abuse.
43:50You must be worth 200 million.
43:52What's wrong with you?
43:53Hold on, hold on, hold on.
43:54Get us somewhere with central heating.
43:56I remember we did buy mum her first house years ago,
43:59but she loved Dawnish Sands.
44:00There's bingo there, there's a swimming pool there,
44:02the beach is there, and honestly,
44:03she spends literally, you know, half the year there.
44:05She absolutely loves it.
44:06And it's big business now, right?
44:08Well, we're going to find out.
44:09I'm investing in some rent.
44:10LAUGHTER
44:12So it's going to either backfire or not, but, yeah.
44:14The caravans I used to go in, in the 80s,
44:16we didn't have a car seat,
44:17so, you know, you'd have to piss and shit in a bucket.
44:20LAUGHTER
44:21But it didn't matter, it didn't matter.
44:23As long as you've got your family around,
44:25you're in, you know, in close proximity.
44:27But apparently...
44:28That's not all shit in...
44:29LAUGHTER
44:31Four buckets in a circle.
44:34That's what we did before Netflix.
44:39What's the name of your caravan park going to be?
44:41It's in the Isle of Sheppey.
44:42So, I'm not allowed to reveal too much.
44:45I don't know if I'll call you out.
44:47LAUGHTER
44:48And I'm going to go down there next week,
44:50have a little pipe, see what's going to...
44:52See what happens, really.
44:53That's exciting.
44:54I'm excited about it.
44:55Listen, I've never run a business.
44:56I mean, he knows what's...
44:57I ain't got a clue what's going to happen.
44:59You know what you should do?
45:00While you've got him here,
45:01I'll come and sort the food out for you at the caravan park.
45:03LAUGHTER
45:04You'd do it for him, wouldn't you?
45:05Well, like, drive up in a fucking chippy van.
45:07Yeah, yeah.
45:08Might be nice to get your hands dirty again, wouldn't it?
45:11LAUGHTER
45:12Well, yeah, looks like I may have to do,
45:14if you stop stealing those cats.
45:15Yes.
45:16Yeah, everyone on this evening's show gets a free cat.
45:19Oh, yeah.
45:20Look at that.
45:21It's a quality cat.
45:22Vanessa, have you ever stayed in a caravan on holiday?
45:25I suppose they call them trailers.
45:27Campers or campervans?
45:28Campers, campervans.
45:29Yeah, yeah, yeah.
45:30Yes.
45:31Yes, back in the 70s.
45:32Did you enjoy it?
45:33Yeah.
45:34We had a house in the Poconos,
45:35and while my dad was building the house,
45:37we had a modified A-frame.
45:38Stayed in it.
45:39We stayed in it and loved it.
45:40Well, if you want to stay in one while you're in the UK,
45:42Isle of Sheppard.
45:43I know where to go.
45:44Get yourself down to Isle of Sheppard,
45:45I'll look after you.
45:46Don't you worry about it.
45:47LAUGHTER
45:48I mean, that's a reality show I'd quite like to see,
45:50the two of you...
45:51Yes.
45:52..hanging out in a caravan.
45:54LAUGHTER
45:55It's been so lovely spending time with you this evening.
45:57Vanessa, continued success.
45:59How lovely to have you.
46:00Maybe, if we could, could you come back and sing on the show?
46:02Absolutely.
46:03We would love that, wouldn't we?
46:04Yes.
46:05APPLAUSE
46:06We would love that.
46:08Thanks to all my guests tonight, of course.
46:11We're not on next week,
46:13because The Brits will be here Saturday night on ITV,
46:16hosted by Jack Whitehall, so that's going to be fantastic.
46:18But now, with 25 Kisses from her new album,
46:20How Did This Happen? And What Does It Now Mean?
46:23A brilliant new album from Joan Armatrading.
46:25She's performing 25 Kisses.
46:26Here she is.
46:27It's Joan Armatrading.
