00:00The Philippine Badminton Association, or PBAD,

00:04has organized local and international tournaments

00:07that can be watched by the racquet fans.

00:09You can find the details in the words of my teammate, Bernadette Pinoy.

00:15The elite badminton players will meet again in the country

00:19because the Philippine Badminton Association, or PBAD, announced

00:23that the third edition of the Philippine Badminton Open

00:27will be held in July.

00:30According to PBAD Secretary-General Carla Lizar de Zuli,

00:33aside from the local tournaments,

00:35they are also preparing for the international competitions

00:39that will be held in the country.

00:41These include the Badminton World Championships in Paris,

00:45Badminton Asian Championships,

00:47and Southeast Asian Games.

00:49They also set up a national pool

00:51for the players to play in their tournaments.

00:54Since the end of the year,

00:58we're still going to finalize the C-Games.

01:00But generally, for the national team,

01:03we have 12 slots for the senior national team.

01:06We do have the lineup for that already.

01:09We already did an assessment,

01:10and we have the 12 players that we're really focusing on developing

01:14all throughout the year.

01:15So that lineup is already set.

01:18But it depends on which players will go to which tournament.

01:23Because Carla said that they are positive

01:25that the national team will advance,

01:27the 100 Sri Lankan Internationals Series 2025 is currently underway.

01:32Some top players will play here,

01:34such as Ninadjelo Albo, Mika de Guzman, and many others.

01:38Back to back to the Sri Lankan tournaments.

01:40In the last tournament,

01:42we got a quarterfinal finish

01:44from Villabrilli and Solomon Pades.

01:49Those are men's doubles.

01:50So hopefully, this time, they can break through

01:53and go further so that we can get a podium finish.
