00:00Hi, my name is Cara Louise Waddington and I'm Ian, I'm a grandad, what are the dogs
00:12called? They're very lively. Is this the nature of a husky? Very much so. The white one here
00:18is called Iani, Vino is next door and Trixie is coming into the shop now. This is Trixie.
00:29So you're getting ready for Crufts? Yeah. This is a bit of a family tradition isn't
00:34it? Your family have kind of been showing for, are you third generation? Yeah. What
00:40is it you love about Crufts and showing dogs then? I mean a lot of people love dogs but
00:45what is it that you've, you know, that passion that you've took it to the next level? I just
00:48love like hanging out with the dogs and getting to meet like their personalities. And Crufts
00:56is like, Crufts is like a big show and I just really like enjoying it and stuff. Good social
01:04part of it as well isn't it? You attend a, it's a young kennels club? Yeah. So you attend
01:09a camp? Yeah. What sort of stuff goes on there then? So in the camp I basically, we do agility,
01:18obedience, handling and we do lots of like fun and games with like the dogs and us. Evening
01:27entertainment, I have a competition, dress rehearsal and all throughout the week, the
01:33five days we're there, there's like time set aside for rehearsals to a big show at the
01:39end. Yeah, fantastic. Now I was having a look at some pictures on the wall, you actually
01:43take the huskies and you, what's it called when you, it's like a dog to slay kind of thing,
01:48what's the name of it? It's a, it's a friendly working bum. Working, yeah. The way we work
01:58with them, it's just, it's going for me now. There's canning cross, there's bike shorting on
02:04a bike. Yeah. And it's just a try wheel, it's a way of exercising the dogs. So yeah, it's like
02:11a little, basically it's like when we see the huskies, you know, on the snow, it's like that,
02:15but without the snow, with wheels instead. And you do that over Cannock Chase, don't you? Yes,
02:21it is, yeah. It must be great fun. You do that as well, Cara? Yeah. Must be a good buzz, you know,
02:26the dogs pulling you along through the chase. Yeah. Yeah, I bet you, I bet you turn some heads
02:31as well, don't you? Yeah, it does, it's quite fast of us. Yeah. Weaving in between the trees and
02:38the trails across there. Yeah. And also on there.
02:43So tell me, tell me a little bit about huskies then. So if, you know, about the nature of huskies,
02:48what are they, what are they like as dogs? They're very lively and very busy and entertaining,
02:54they are. Yeah. All with their own personality, I'm sure. Yeah. So you, you've actually got a
03:00kennel club name, Cluagin. Yeah. Now I was saying, where does that name come from? But it's an
03:05anagram of your surname. Anagram of the surname. Yeah, yeah, which now makes total sense. I'm
03:09a little silly for asking now. So what are you hoping to come away with from Crufts? Are you
03:14hoping to come away with Rosette? So is it not kind of about that? Is it just about being there
03:19and you meet people? It's just being there and like getting to meet people and enjoying with the
03:26dogs and stuff. Yeah. Cool. Well, we wish you all the best there. And third generation, that's
03:32awesome work. So good luck at Crufts, guys. Thank you very much.
