00:00Hi I'm health reporter Sarah McCann. We spend one third of our lives asleep or
00:06trying to get to sleep. That's a long time to spend being uncomfortable. I have
00:12reviewed the Simba Hybrid Pro mattress. Here's what I thought. The Simba mattress
00:18arrived in a box. It was really small and compact. It took two people to get it up
00:24the stairs and bring it into our bedroom. I was quite surprised by how small the
00:29package was especially considering that there was a mattress inside and I'm
00:33gonna be honest my husband and I did begin to worry that we'd ordered the
00:36wrong size when we opened it up and rolled it out because it did look quite
00:40small. However this is normal. What you're meant to do is cut open the plastic and
00:45allow the Simba mattress to rise. Simba advise waiting three to six hours but it
00:50can fully expand up to 72 hours after being freed from its packaging. We did
00:57notice that the mattress was a lot higher than our previous one. It's 28
01:01centimetres whereas most mattresses on average about 20 centimetres. However this
01:06is thanks to the eight layers of the mattress and its additional comfort
01:10qualities. The eight layered mattress offers a double spring layer and a
01:16contoured support. It's medium firm and suitable for all types of sleeping
01:21positions offering pressure relief and full body alignment with a hugged
01:26feeling in the upper layers and support in the base layers for hips and
01:30shoulders. I definitely find that this is an experience I had before I slept with
01:36the Simba Hybrid Pro. I actually used to sleep with a full body pillow and also
01:41two additional pillows at my head. Now I only sleep with one pillow and don't
01:46find that I wake up in the morning stiff and sore. Priced at £1,249 it is a
01:53pricey investment. However it does come with a 200 night trial and a 10 year
01:58guarantee.
