00:00Louis-Henri Samet shocked the rugby world last year when he announced he'd be stepping
00:06away from the sport to pursue a career in the NFL. It was a controversial move given
00:11his important place in the Wales squad, and making the announcement shortly before last
00:15year's Six Nations angered some Welsh rugby fans. He said it has always been a dream,
00:21so a year on he's now been given an additional sign of life in the sport as he's signed to
00:25the active roster of the Jacksonville Jaguars. He previously signed onto the Kansas City
00:30Chiefs team, but was dropped and signed to the Jags last year to their practice squad,
00:35but being given a space on their active roster is a positive sign for the upcoming offseason.
00:41It doesn't necessarily guarantee him a place in the final squad for the 2025 NFL season,
00:46but with plenty of time between now and the first game, he'll have plenty of chances to
00:50prove his worth and with a year's experience under his belt, we might see a Welshman in
00:54the NFL for the first time ever later on this year.
