00:25He took a hard shot on the left shoulder in the first half, continued to play, Jacksonville
00:31even rallied some.
00:32So how come now he's said to be out?
00:35First of all, yes, it's his non-throwing shoulder and he could just throw with his right arm,
00:40right shoulder, but you do need your left arm to counterbalance, but also you're going
00:44to take hits.
00:46So there's a pain tolerance and safety issue.
00:49What does he have?
00:50He took a hard shot with his arm at his side.
00:52He did not dislocate the left shoulder.
00:54Some sort of contusion, possibly hairline fracture.
00:58Remember Deshaun Watson played through a fracture in his throwing shoulder last year for a little
01:02bit.
01:03Some sort of bony injury is possible here.
01:07The bottom line is he probably will have a hard time taking contact and maybe there's
01:12part of this where Jacksonville is just shutting him down with the possibility of surgery and
01:17also essentially a lost season to get the better draft pick.

01:30There's a very big question surrounding the Dallas Cowboys quarterback situation.

01:37returns at all for Dallas this season?
01:41Let's check in with Dr. Chow on Dak's hamstring injury.
01:45Most hamstring injuries involve the muscle.
01:48This involves the tendon, the tendon at the knee.
01:51It's more of an avulsion injury.
01:54Do not be surprised if he ends up with surgery.
01:57Now the good news with surgery, it would be to resect the area of the tendon to allow
02:01for better healing.
02:02Remember, tendons don't have the same blood flow as muscle.
02:05It's not surgery to reattach it.
02:07Surgery would not end his season, but it certainly would be IR.
02:11It's typically six weeks.
02:13At week 10, that doesn't leave much room for a return.
02:16If the Cowboys can stay alive, Dak can come back this season, but at this point, IR seems
02:22destiny for him, and it will be more than four games missed.
