00:46an Israeli software that was used to spy on naughty journalists and activists in several

00:58Hello and welcome to From the South, I'm Ana Marrero from the Telesur headquarters
01:02in Caracas, Venezuela.
01:03Now, we will bring you the news with us.
01:12Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro reiterated on Wednesday his condemnation of the US financing
01:27of the extreme right to undermine peace in the country.
01:32The President expressed his rejection during the inauguration of the International School
01:37for Youth Leadership, where he noted that the Venezuelan opposition had become business
01:43with profit-oriented purpose.
01:47During the event, Maduro also welcomed the meeting held by Russian President Vladimir
01:51Putin and his counterpart Donald Trump, where they agreed on strengthening their nation's
01:56bilateral relations.
02:14How many millions of dollars did they give to Juan Guaidó?
02:19They say that he directly cashed more than 5,000 million.
02:22Do you know what can be done with 5,000 million?
02:26How many schools can be built?
02:29How many hospitals?
02:35And I ask you, not you young people who are patriots, I ask the opponents who made you
02:40believe that Guaidó was the president, did you or your family receive any benefit?
02:46Did even one dollar of those 5,000 million dollars reach the mothers, the doctors, the
02:51nurses, the teachers in Venezuela?
02:55They stole everything.
03:00For them, being in opposition in Venezuela became a lucrative business, and now they
03:05are billionaires living in mansions.
03:08I have been denouncing this for years, but now we can see, and the evidence that everything
03:13we denounced was true is coming out.
03:40Welcome back to From the South.

09:35countries.
09:36In the controversy, the Minister of Relations with the Parliament, Luca de Chiriani, admitted
09:45that Italy uses the company's services only against terrorists and criminal groups.
09:51This is the first time that the executive admits that it is a client of Paragon.
09:55After last week, the government revealed seven people were spied on in Italy through graffiti.
10:03The espionage discovered in the country has raised alarms and in the most recent parliamentary
10:10session, the opposition criticised the government for not giving explanations and clear details
10:16of this spying of a report in Francesco Cancellato.
10:29Like all intelligence services in the world, also the Italian services, in order to counter
10:35criminal terrorist organisations in the name of national security, have been using products
10:40supplied by Paragon's solutions for many years.
10:44Which sector of the government, which one of you allowed this state spying? Who are
10:48you spying on with this software? These answers are of interest to the whole country, not

11:18I was the backdoor, the backdoor that these people used to get into fan page, to know
11:22what fan page was doing, a way to anticipate our movements, our investigations.
