00:00With the aim to help children of determination integrate comfortably within the society,

00:07local and international boxing champions converged at the launch of Boxing with Determination

00:12on Friday afternoon at Warehouse Gym in Alcus.

00:19The event, designed to introduce special needs children to boxing, highlighted the importance

00:24of sports in building motor skills and confidence while creating inclusive spaces and opportunities.

00:31The event was a collaboration between Warehouse Gym and RISE Events.

00:35I chose boxing as the first sport because it's the most feared sport.

00:42People think, oh my god, boxing?

00:43You're going to get hurt.

00:44In fact, there were a few people that I actually invited and they said, no, I don't think so,

00:51Nisha.

00:52If you have special needs children and boxing, you want to hurt each other?

00:56I said, why?

00:57Why are we looking at it that our children are not able to do any type of sport?

01:04So we chose boxing to showcase that it can be any most scariest sport, the scariest place.

01:12Our children are not different.

01:13They can do every single one.

01:15It's so inspiring for me.

01:17So everything I see here, this is great.

01:22This is where this starts.

01:24This is the very beginning.

01:25I'm telling you now, within six months to eight months, it's going to be a different ball game.

01:30So watch this space.

01:32This is a very good venture and it is really an inspiration for kids with determination.

01:38And we are really looking forward to the improvement of the kids physically and mentally.

01:44A lot of times, a lot of the focus on parents and children of determination is how we can

01:49change them to fit in more without realizing they are beautiful.

01:56They are special.

01:58They are incredible in their own unique way.

02:02And programs like this that we see today are telling parents and children, come.
