00:00The fourth edition of the Dubai Canvas transformed Lamer into an open-air gallery.
00:12The week-long art event is organized by Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Government
00:16of Dubai Media Office.
00:18Over 30 international and four Emirati artists created and showcased their work in public
00:23view at Show Street in Lamer North.
00:25What's new this year is that we're going to have a lot of murals.
00:27So I'm talking 3D art on walls.
00:31What's even more exciting about that is that we're going to leave the festival on the 7th
00:36knowing that these pieces on the wall are going to be permanent.
00:40Also another new thing which is exciting us a lot in Lamer that you're going to see during
00:43the festival is that we are transforming the objects in Lamer into street art pieces.
00:51For the general theme of Dubai Canvas, it's the location.
00:54So that was the inspiration for the artists.
00:56So you'll see that most of the pieces are inspired by the beach.
00:59Besides 3D art, there will be other contemporary works such as object art, tape art, inflatable
01:04art and murals.
01:05There were also demonstrations, workshops, movie screenings and other activities offered
01:10free of charge to visitors.
