00:00Uh, Waste Management, you know, we get everything that we always expect out of that tournament.
00:05We had our hole-in-one with everybody going nuts, uh, the dunk shot from Emiliano Grillo.
00:10You had, uh, Shooter McGavin running around with the gold jacket in the morning with everyone
00:14running to 16.
00:15Uh, we had an unlikely winner like last year, albeit in a little bit of a different way,
00:20uh, Dietrich blowing everybody away on Sunday, but one of the best tournaments there is.
00:24The People's Open, uh, lived up to it as always.
00:26Uh, it sure did.
00:28Like you said, the only thing we missed this week was a potential, uh, playoff, which is
00:32what we've gotten pretty much just about every year, it seems like, or a very close finish.
00:36I mean, Dietrich winning by seven shots, I just did not see that coming.
00:41Yes, he's extremely talented, but we, I've, there's just been question marks about, you
00:47know, if he's been able to, you know, kind of break through that wall.
00:51Uh, he ran through it this week and, uh, really impressive stuff.
00:55Uh, it really was impressive, Smiley.
00:58And you think about it, this is a guy who's, you know, like you say, he's competed in some
01:01majors.
01:02He's hung around on some Sundays, never really has gotten to break through.
01:06Uh, but when you win by seven, uh, that's no joke, uh, that's called blowing everybody
01:13out.
01:14Cause I think the perception was Smiley and I thought this being somebody who let's just
01:17say added on a few guys Saturday night that were closest to him, whether that be Michael
01:23Kim or Daniel Berger, et cetera, thinking, well, he's not going to run away and hide.
01:29You know, the pressure's going to get to him.
01:30He's going to fall, but lose one in the first four holes, maybe lose one in the next four.
01:34No, uh, just absolute, no doubt about it.

01:38You can maybe get to the, uh, to the pregame show a little bit earlier for the Superbowl.
01:41Well, that was a smart play.
01:43I mean, honestly, I expected it to, I think everybody that was chasing within that four
01:48or five shots heading into Sunday probably felt like they were going to have a chance
01:51in the last three holes and him starting out as round burning the first hole, you know,
01:56just kind of set the tone.
01:57And every time I thought he was going to take a step backwards, he took two steps forward
02:01and he's a player that I guess said super talented.
02:04But going into Sunday, if you would've told me that he was going to have the tie for the
02:08lowest round of the day, I would've said no way.
02:11But I tell you what, all the credit to him, he played a better than anybody last week.
02:17One other thing, uh, from the waste management, uh, which I think is something that we have
02:21to look at going forward here, uh, it was Jordan speeds, second tournament back since
02:27his office, since the wrist surgery that he had at the end of last year.
02:30Uh, and when you talk about, uh, what a difference a week makes smiley from the first, you know,
02:35and then coming back, being in the mix all weekend, a long stretch, bogey free rounds
02:40over multiple days, uh, played very well.
02:44Really encouraging.
02:46If you're a Jordan speed fan to see how he played, uh, this past weekend.
02:50100% coming off a wrist surgery right after the playoffs last year, it was, you know,
02:56we didn't know when he was going to be back.
02:58And the fact that he was able to get back for pebble beach last week, a place he's super
03:02comfortable with.
03:03Uh, and then really to, you know, went through it right from the get go, like his wrist was
03:07bothering him, not quite a hundred percent, but he fought through it.
03:11Didn't play his best golf the first three days, but eventually got to Sunday and was
03:15able to get back to what he showed up with, which was the golf swing that we saw this
03:20entire last week, which was on, on the money.
03:23You know, I haven't seen him swing it this good in a long time.
03:25Uh, he's gotten back to his DNA and this morning on our show, uh, really went into depth of
03:31what exactly he's doing in his golf swing.
03:34The change of the putter, uh, really went in depth to that today.
03:38But like you said, if you're a Jordan speed supporter, especially as we move closer to
03:42the masters, which is basically, you know, the, it used to be the Jordan speed, uh, golf
03:47tournament, right?
03:48The one that we knew he was near the top of the board just about every time.
