At the National Prayer Breakfast, President Donald Trump focused on new initiatives, including a push for advanced air traffic control technology and a strong stance on immigration enforcement. The President discussed the need for updated systems to improve U.S. air traffic control and enhance safety in the skies. He also called for stricter immigration policies to strengthen national security. Trump’s remarks sparked discussions on both issues as the U.S. continues to navigate challenges in these areas. Watch the full speech for insights into his administration's direction on air travel and immigration.

00:08Well, thank you very much.
00:09That's a big group of people.
00:11That's a nice group.
00:13Well, we want to bring religion back stronger,
00:16bigger, better than ever before.
00:18Very important.
00:18And this is a good start.
00:21This is really good.
00:22We have to have religion.
00:23And it suffered greatly over the last few years,
00:29but it's coming back.
00:31It's coming back strong.
00:32And I want to thank you, Pastor Paula,
00:34who I have known for a long time.
00:35She's a fantastic person.
00:37And thanks to the thousands of believers here today
00:40from all across the country and from all around the world.
00:45This is a beautiful tradition.
00:48They told me I could do it via Skype.
00:51And I said, What are we doing?
00:56And they said, The prayer breakfast.
00:58I said, I've been there every year.
01:00I'm not doing it via Skype.
01:02Via Skype, I'm going to be there.
01:10It's not that far.
01:11You know, it's like about two minutes down the road.
01:15In fact, it was easier to do this
01:17than put up a Skype deal.
01:19Just destroy the White House, putting up all that stuff.
01:24But now I want to be here with you.
01:26And I have been here with you.
01:28And I do that despite the fact that they say I can't run again.
01:40That's the expression, sir.
01:43Then somebody said, I don't think you can.
01:45Oh, now I want to be with you regardless.
01:51And it's an honor and something I've enjoyed.
01:54I've actually met some very nice Democrats here.
01:59It's true. I have.
02:02But this is a beautiful tradition
02:04that started with President Eisenhower in 1953.
02:07And I wouldn't miss it for the world.
02:10After four long years, really, they were very long.
02:16Dark years, in my opinion.
02:18It's great to be back at the prayer breakfast.
02:21And I hope you all agree it's nice to once again
02:24have a president that shows up to the prayer breakfast.
02:35And that agrees to be interviewed for the Super Bowl.
02:38I'm doing that, too.
02:39They haven't done it in so long they didn't even —
02:41they forgot about it.
02:43They said, oh, but they hadn't done it in years.
02:46But I said, yeah, this morning they wanted to know.
02:50And I said, yeah, why not? What the hell?
02:53You know? You know the way I look at it?
02:55They ask you a question and you give them an answer.
02:58It's not that hard.
03:00But they didn't show up for years,
03:02so they were almost shocked when I said,
03:04yeah, I'll do it. Why not?
03:06But I want to thank our great, newly-confirmed
03:09Secretary of the Interior, Doug Burgum —
03:11who's fantastic, by the way — for being here this morning.
03:14I don't know if — is he around?
03:17Where is he? Where is he?
03:19He's right there. He's right there.
03:21He's right there. He's right there.
03:23With the lights, I can't — there you are.
03:24You are a handsome devil.
03:26He's a good — good-looking guy.
03:29He's got an even better-looking wife,
03:30I can tell you that.
03:33But I want to thank you and Catherine for —
03:35you've been fantastic.
03:37I knew immediately, you know,
03:38he was running in a group of people,
03:40and I spotted him immediately.
03:42I said, that guy's a winner.
03:45He didn't get the gravitas
03:48because, to get gravitas, you have to be controversial and,
03:51in many cases, a horrible human being.
03:55You get a lot of gravitas that way.
03:56And he's a very good human being and very smart.
03:59But I said, he is — he is really outstanding.
04:03And he's going to do a job with Chris Wright, two of them.
04:06It's like a partnership with Interior and Energy.
04:09He's going to have more liquid gold coming out of the ground
04:13than anybody has ever seen before.
04:14We're going to drive the price down,
04:16and everything else is going to follow.
04:17So, he's one of the really important people.
04:20He's a very, very, very great gentleman.
04:24Was a fantastic governor, by the way.
04:27And really did — and sort of learned the oil business
04:31as a governor because he made his money.
04:33Made a lot of money, which I like.
04:35I like people that make money because that means
04:37they can help us.
04:39And they always like me to put in —
04:42really, people that have failed, they want,
04:45please, sir, he's made too much money.
04:47And he's become too successful.
04:49They want me to hire people that have totally failed
04:53to run the Department of Energy.
04:55Somebody that lost all his life. I don't want to do it.
04:57I just don't want to do it. I know it sounds nice,
05:00but I want to get somebody that was so successful
05:02because we got to bring the country back.
05:04And him and Chris are going to be unbelievable.
05:06I really believe it.
05:08But I want to — so, I want to thank you very much, Doug,
05:11for what you've gone through. He's gone through a lot, too.
05:13But he was easily approved because he's an honest person.
05:17He gave a statement. They read it.
05:18They said, thank you.
05:20But as well as our co-chairs,
05:21Representatives Ben Kline and Jonathan Jackson.
05:25Thank you very much. Thank you very much.
05:28Thank you. Thank you, fellas.
05:33Congressman Eric Burleson and visiting dignitaries
05:37from more than 120 countries.
05:40From the very beginning of our republic,
05:42America has always been a nation founded by people of faith
05:46and strengthened by the power of prayer
05:48and united by four simple but very beautiful words.
05:53In God we trust.
05:55And you all know there was a movement to get that out.
06:04I said, no, wait, don't bring it up.
06:05Don't bring it up. I don't want to hear it.
06:08There was a movement. We don't want that.
06:10Because we shouldn't be mentioning God.
06:12Can — you know, there was a very strong movement,
06:15just like they don't want to say Merry Christmas,
06:17but now they say it. Remember in 2016?
06:19That was a whole big part of my campaign.
06:21You're going to say Merry Christmas.
06:22Well, now they do it again.
06:24But we —
06:25I don't know if you've been watching,
06:29but we got rid of woke over the last two weeks.
06:31Woke is gonzo.
06:33Despite the other side
06:38stealing hundreds of millions of dollars to promote woke.
06:41Did you see what happened yesterday
06:43where they found hundreds of millions of dollars of money
06:46was fraudulently given to newspapers and, I guess, Politico?
06:54I don't know. They hear — good.
06:55I hope you're enjoying your breakfast.
06:57No, they gave money to all this —
07:02out of — out of USAID. Right? USAID.
07:11It came out. Hundreds of just tremendous amounts of money
07:16had nothing to do with anything.
07:18This is a terrible thing that was experienced.
07:21But we're catching them left and right.
07:23We're catching them.
07:24We're catching them to a point where they don't know
07:26what the heck is going on.
07:28They can't believe they're getting caught.
07:31And I have great respect for the people that are doing it.
07:33Elon Musk is helping us on it.
07:35And he's pretty good. He's pretty good.
07:39He's pretty good at it. But the numbers are astounding.
07:44They're astounding. Even Doug was shaken up by what he heard.
07:48Do you believe that, Doug, what you've been reading?
07:50It just — it just — very dishonest stuff.
07:54But it was faith that led the Pilgrims to cross an ocean
07:58and settle this majestic continent.
08:00And we're going to keep it majestic.
08:02It was belief in our Creator that moved the patriot farmers
08:06to stand strong for liberties at Concord Bridge
08:10250 years ago this April.
08:13And we're going to have a big — a big party next year.
08:18And we have the Olympics coming in,
08:20and we have the World Cup coming in,
08:22and we have the 250th year celebration — all three.
08:27And, you know, when I was President,
08:28I got the Olympics and I got the World Cup.
08:31Two hundred and fifty years I had nothing to do with.
08:33It just happened to be.
08:36But it all came due — the presidency —
08:38after what was — what should have been mine.
08:41It really should have been.
08:44And they had a little election that, let's just say,
08:51didn't work out too correctly.
08:53A lot of things have been found out about that.
08:55But — so I got forced to run again, and I ran again.
08:58And now I have the Olympics, I have the World Cup,
09:00and I have 250. So I said, this is interesting, you know?
09:05When I got them, I said, you know,
09:06the only bad thing about the Olympics
09:07is I won't be President.
09:09The only bad thing about getting the World Cup —
09:11I worked hard to get the World Cup because everybody wants it.
09:13Everybody wants the Olympics.
09:15But the only bad thing was I said,
09:17you know, I won't be President and I might not —
09:20you know, when you're not President,
09:21you might not even be invited.
09:23They said, isn't it sad? Then, all of a sudden,
09:25I run and I win. And then somebody says,
09:26Sir, you're going to have to start thinking about the Olympics.
09:28I said, you know, you're right.
09:29I never thought about that during the campaign.
09:32I'm going to be here for the Olympics and the World Cup.
09:34How about that? God works in very strange ways.
09:38But we had a great election.
09:45We won by a massive majority. We won all seven swing states.
09:49We won the popular vote by millions and millions of people.
09:52We have a mandate and, as some say,
09:54the most consequential election in 129 years.
09:58And that's good because I'm a believer,
10:00like you're a believer,
10:01and we want to have a believer in this position.
10:03And it was confidence in America's God-given destiny
10:12that pushed the pioneers to journey west
10:15and led Americans to end slavery, crush fascism,
10:19defeat communism, and conquer every single challenge
10:23that we faced. And they were very great challenges.
10:26Now it's the same time.
10:29I have to remember unyielding faith in America's mission
10:33that inspires us to make our country great again.
10:37And soon it will be greater than ever.
10:39We're doing really well. We're doing really well.
10:42It's — I think in two weeks, they're saying —
10:45I'm reading it, so I'm not even saying it,
10:47but I feel it — that we've done more
10:49than just about any President ever.
10:52The first two weeks have been probably,
10:54they say, the most successful two weeks
10:56in the history of any presidency.
10:58Now all we have to do is keep it going
10:59for another couple of hundred weeks.
11:01But it's been very successful.
11:05And if this guy gets a lot of oil out of the ground
11:08to bring down everybody's prices, it'll even be better.
11:10So, Doug, you shouldn't even be here right now.
11:12You should be — get out of here, Doug.
11:14Start looking for oil.
11:16After years of decline,
11:18Americans are reasserting our true identity
11:22as a people ordained by God to be the freest
11:26and most exceptional nation ever to exist
11:28on the face of the Earth. But we weren't that for four years.
11:31I don't believe we were.
11:33And we're getting there very soon, very quickly.
11:37I'll be able to say it, and we'll be able to say it again.
11:39As I said in my inaugural address two weeks ago,
11:42a light is now shining over the world — the entire world.
11:46And I'm hearing it from other leaders.
11:47I'm hearing it from leaders that have traditionally
11:49not been on our side, that there's so much more —
11:54there's such a good feeling in the air —
11:56so different than it was just a short time ago.
12:00Because here in America, we are, once again,
12:02a nation that believes in ourselves.
12:04We believe in our destiny
12:06and trust in the providence of Almighty God.
12:11And I can tell you, the opposite side —
12:13the opposing side — and they oppose religion,
12:15they oppose God — they've lost their confidence.
12:19They've lost their confidence.
12:21It's a different group of people than I remember.
12:25Over the past two weeks, our strength has been restored.
12:28Our spirit has been revived.
12:31And a new national momentum has been sweeping across our land.
12:34The Golden Age of America has officially begun.
12:39And I will tell you — I just read it this morning.
12:41A statistic just came out that, in the last 15 years,
12:48we just broke the record.
12:49Army recruitment — and they think it's going to be 25 years,
12:52but, right now, it's 15 — more than 15.
12:56Army recruitment has gone up.
12:58You've probably been reading that it's been way down
13:01in the dumps.
13:02And recruitment is the highest it's been in more than 15 years.
13:07And that's going to get higher. And it could be 25 years,
13:09but that's going to get higher and higher.
13:11And that's a tremendous thing.
13:13That's a tremendous thing.
13:17And a poll came out that the spirit of the country
13:20is up 49 percent. Where did you hear that?
13:23That's a record that's never gone up.
13:24But that's gone up over — just since the election,
13:27since November 5th. What a great day.
13:29Was that a great day? Was that great?
13:31Because we're going to make our country great again.
13:36After years of stagnation,
13:37our economy is roaring back to life.
13:40Optimism is soaring. Hope is returning.
13:43And we have brought back the words
13:46common sense to our government.
13:49We are — we had a big day yesterday —
13:51you saw that — having to do with men in women's sports.
13:54No longer. It's over.
13:56But we're going to be securing our borders,
14:05defending our freedoms,
14:06and restoring the principle of meritocracy — merit.
14:10We're a merit-based country again.
14:14And we have a Supreme Court ruling to that effect.
14:16Nobody thought that was going to happen.
14:18That was a great ruling.
14:20It didn't get the kind of notoriety that other things get,
14:25but in its own way, it was just about as important as anything.
14:28It gave us the right to go back to a merit-based —
14:31we're a merit-based country now.
14:33It's based on competence, intelligence,
14:36and based on ability,
14:38and all of the things that really can make a country great.
14:42Around the world, America is being respected again,
14:45and you are already witnessing a very —
14:48some very incredible results.
14:50Just days before taking office,
14:52my team negotiated a breakthrough ceasefire agreement
14:55to stop the bloodshed and killing in the Middle East
14:58and return the hostages held captive by Hamas
15:01back home to their loved ones.
15:03And as the Bible says, blessed are the peacemakers.
15:10And in that end, I hope my greatest legacy,
15:14when it's all finished,
15:15will be known as a peacemaker and a unifier.
15:18I hope that's going to be true.
15:20You know, when I left, we had no wars.
15:24We had no problems. We had no inflation.
15:26We had no — all we had was we were going to go just up.
15:31And I came back. We have Russia, Ukraine.
15:34We have the Middle East has exploded.
15:36All of these things would have never happened.
15:37And we have inflation that was the worst
15:39in the history of our country.
15:42But we're joined today by several brave families
15:45whose loved ones were taken hostage
15:47during the October 7th horrible attack 16 months ago.
15:51And I know I speak for everyone here today
15:54when I say that we're keeping you in our hearts and our prayers.
15:57And please stand if you are one of the people
16:02who have been so gravely affected.
16:04Please stand. Thank you.
16:06Thank you very much.
16:15Well, they're coming in. More are coming in today.
16:18They're coming in. It's a very traumatic situation.
16:22Very tough, as the people know that are here with us.
16:25But they're coming in.
16:27And I made a statement — I meant it, totally —
16:31that if they're not home by the time I get into office,
16:34all hell will break loose in the Middle East.
16:39And I think they respected that statement.
16:41So, we'll see. But we have more hostages to come,
16:44and we hope they live up to their word.
16:49And I have to say, who knows if that's going to happen.
16:53But one way or another, it's going to work out.
16:56It's going to all work out.
16:57As President, I will not rest until every remaining hostage
17:00has been returned to their families.
17:02So, thank you all for being here. Appreciate it.
17:10Also with us is an incredible survivor of October 7th.
17:14What a horrible day that was. That would have never happened.
17:18Iran was broke. They had no money to pay to Hamas or Hezbollah.
17:23They were stone-cold broke.
17:26And when I left, they started selling their oil again.
17:30They took the sanctions off. They did everything wrong.
17:34I mean, I'd like to say the opposite of that.
17:35I would. I would much prefer saying the opposite.
17:38But they did everything wrong.
17:41That includes with Russia and Ukraine.
17:43That should have never happened also.
17:44All those millions of kids —
17:46you know, the soldiers are just being decimated.
17:48The two countries — probably 800,000 Russians,
17:52600,000, 700,000 Ukrainians,
17:54young people just laying on a battlefield, dead.
17:59It's a horrible situation going on over there.
18:02We're working very hard,
18:03and I think making progress to stop it.
18:06Also with us is an incredible survivor of October 7th
18:10who was held captive by Hamas for more than eight months.
18:14Noah Aghramani was the music festival —
18:20she was at the music festival and attacked on that terrible day.
18:24Where are you? Where are you?
18:28Thank you very much. Thank you. Thank you very much.
18:40That's great that you're here. I watched you on television.
18:44I don't know what you're doing, but you look like a much younger person.
18:48I don't know what the secret is.
18:50Please give it to all of us.
18:53For 245 harrowing days, Noah showed unwavering strength
18:58and courage and faith as she endured the —
19:03unendurable, really, what she went through.
19:06But by the grace of God, she was rescued
19:08by the Israeli Defense Forces.
19:10And now she's come back to pray with us this morning,
19:13and it's such an honor to have you.
19:15And you're really an inspiration, Noah, to all of us.
19:18Thank you very much.
19:26The innocent civilians attacked on October 7th
19:29were targeted for one reason — because they were Jews.
19:32They were murdered and kidnapped because of their faith.
19:35And these events remind us of how blessed we are to live in a nation
19:40that has thrived for two and a half centuries
19:42as a haven of religious freedom,
19:44although I will tell you the last four years
19:47have been very difficult.
19:49It's — it would have been a very difficult thing for me
19:52to have made that statement
19:53if this speech was taking place two years ago.
19:56My administration is absolutely committed
19:59to defending this proud heritage,
20:01and I will always protect religious liberty.
20:05And that is why, today, I'm on —
20:15and really honoring a lot of people,
20:17but I'm announcing that I will be creating
20:20a brand-new Presidential Commission on Religious Liberty.
20:24It's going to be a very big deal,
20:26which will work tirelessly to uphold
20:28this most fundamental right.
20:31Unfortunately, in recent years,
20:33we've seen this sacred liberty threatened
20:35like never before in American history.
20:37There's nothing happened.
20:39Like, the last four years,
20:40what's happened with so many things have gone bad.
20:45But religion, what they've done,
20:47and the persecution that they've executed
20:52have been just horrible.
20:54For example, most of us would not have believed it possible
20:57that a grandmother with a severe medical condition
21:01— a quite elderly woman —
21:04would be put in jail for praying here in America.
21:07She was put in jail because she was praying.
21:10But we're joined today by a woman who was.
21:14Seventy-five years old, Paulette Harlow was sentenced
21:17to two years in prison for peacefully praying
21:21outside of a clinic charged under an obscure law
21:24that hadn't been used in years,
21:27selectively weaponized against Christians
21:30by the previous administration.
21:33I never understood how — we won with evangelicals.
21:37We won with Christians by a lot.
21:39But even that little bit that they got, I said,
21:41who were the people that voted for them?
21:44Who would vote for them? They were terrible.
21:47They were terrible to you,
21:49and they were terrible to people of religion —
21:52all religions.
21:54At her sentencing, the judge mocked
21:56Paulette's Christian faith.
21:58Exactly two weeks ago, it was my honor to grant Paulette
22:02and other persecuted Christians —
22:04about 23 of them — a full and unconditional pardon.
22:09And we got them out of there. We got them out.
22:19They're so clean now. You know those pardons?
22:22You're so clean.
22:24There's nobody so clean as Paulette in this whole room.
22:28She was just — oh, she got a little lucky, didn't she?
22:32Yeah, she got lucky that I won that election.
22:37But she was going to be in there for a long time.
22:40Right, Paulette?
22:41But what happened to you must never,
22:44ever happen again in America.
22:46So I want to thank you very much for being here, Paulette.
22:49Thank you. Thank you.
22:51Thank you very much.
22:59Thank you. Thank you very much. Enjoy your life.
23:05To confront such weaponization and religious persecution,
23:08today I'm signing an executive order
23:10to make our Attorney General, who's a great person —
23:14she's going to be a great Attorney General — Pam Bondi —
23:20the head of a task force, brand new,
23:23to eradicate anti-Christian bias.
23:26About time, right? Anti-Christian bias.
23:30Yeah, you never heard of that one before, right?
23:35But there's — it's about time, isn't it, though?
23:37Really? So many — so many times you hear,
23:41but you don't hear the anti-Christian bias.
23:44The mission of this task force will be to immediately halt
23:48all forms of anti-Christian targeting and discrimination
23:51within the federal government, including at the DOJ,
23:55which was absolutely terrible.
23:57The IRS, the FBI — terrible — and other agencies.
24:02In addition, the task force will work
24:04to fully prosecute anti-Christian violence
24:08and vandalism in our society and to move Heaven and Earth
24:11to defend the rights of Christians
24:13and religious believers nationwide.
24:16You've never had that before,
24:17but this is a very powerful document I'm signing.
24:21You've got to — you get it now, first time you've had it.
24:24If we don't have religious liberty,
24:26then we don't have a free country.
24:28We probably don't even have a country.
24:30This week, I'm also creating the White House Faith Office,
24:34led by Pastor Paula White, who is so amazing.
24:37That man is happy. Look at — stand up.
24:44Let me see. Why are you so happy?
24:46You love Paula, right?
24:47She — she —
24:48Pastor White. I come from Lebanon.
24:50Oh, Lebanon. Tough, yeah.
24:52So you know what we're talking about better than anybody.
24:55Yeah. You're going to have a great new ambassador to Lebanon.
24:59Yes. Thank you very much. Thank you. That's tough.
25:02Yeah.
25:03You're going to have a great new ambassador.
25:04We just put him in.
25:07Well, in the White House, we will protect Christians
25:10in our schools, in our military, in our government,
25:12in our workplaces, hospitals, and in our public squares.
25:17And we will bring our country back together
25:19as one nation under God, with liberty and justice for all.
25:24Throughout history, those who have sought control
25:26and domination over others have always tried
25:29to cut the people off from the connection to their Creator.
25:35At the same time, every nation with big dreams
25:37and great ambition has recognized
25:40that there is no recourse more precious
25:42than the faith in the hearts of our people.
25:45It's the thing that makes our nation great.
25:48It makes other nations great.
25:50When you don't have it, you don't see great nations.
25:52Without God, we are isolated and alone.
25:56But with God, the Scripture tells us all things are possible.
26:01Well, look at me. I'm standing before you today.
26:03I shouldn't be here. I shouldn't be here.
26:06A lot of people said I shouldn't have been here.
26:12It was a beautiful day in Pennsylvania.
26:15It's a shot that should not have been missed.
26:21Missed. Well, it got me a little bit.
26:25It got me a little bit, but pretty amazing.
26:28My son, who's a great shooter, Don, both of them, Eric,
26:32they said it's like sinking a one-foot putt
26:35from where that shooter was with that particular weapon.
26:38And I just happened to turn at the right instant,
26:42a fraction of a second.
26:43If I was late or early, it would have been over.
26:47And you would have somebody else speaking today.
26:50But I got very lucky.
26:52It was a chart on immigration came down,
26:55and I looked to my right.
26:56Quickly, I looked to my right, and I said,
26:58drop that chart. Boom.
27:01And I said, man, what was that?
27:03So if I didn't make that turn, so it's —
27:07and, you know, my son, Don, said,
27:09Dad, I'll tell you, you got saved by God.
27:13This is — you know, I shouldn't say this,
27:15but that was a big statement for him to make.
27:17He was — he was moved, Eric, likewise.
27:21Because it's — you know, you could say it's a miracle,
27:25or you could say something, but it was really —
27:28it was God that saved me.
27:40But even in the dark — thank you.
28:06Thank you very much. That's very nice.
28:09Even in the darkest moments, hope is never lost.
28:12And two weeks ago, I went to a small town in North Carolina.
28:16What a great place North Carolina is.
28:18We love North Carolina.
28:21We won that thing three times.
28:23We won the primaries. We won the elections.
28:25We won it. And my daughter-in-law, Laura,
28:29is so incredible. She comes from North Carolina.
28:32She did such a great job. They love her in the state.
28:34But we've had great luck there.
28:36And I reciprocate.
28:38And it had been virtually destroyed —
28:42the whole state, this Hurricane Helene.
28:44It was a heavy-water hurricane —
28:46the water like nobody has ever seen.
28:49The lakes were built in areas that were always dry.
28:52And the people had lost everything they owned.
28:54The numerous people, many people dead.
28:58FEMA, under Biden, was a disaster.
29:00They didn't — they were almost not even —
29:03they essentially weren't even there.
29:05They'd been abandoned by their government.
29:07And seeing their friends and neighbors swept away and die.
29:11I saw many of them.
29:13One of those I met was a pastor named Ramona Nix.
29:17Really good woman. Her congregation is small,
29:20but they had just purchased a brand-new church.
29:23Beautiful church.
29:25She said people asked her,
29:27what are you going to do with this big building?
29:32It was such a good, beautiful situation to be in.
29:36And then came the hurricane. And she looked at them.
29:39She said, only God knows.
29:41Just one week after dedicating that church,
29:44the storm hit their little town,
29:45and the pastor's church became a lifeboat
29:47for a community that was just displaced.
29:50The church stood — it withstood the storm.
29:54One of the few buildings that did.
29:55Before the end of the week,
29:57the sanctuary was so packed with supplies
29:59that it was hard to walk.
30:01Everybody from all over the country
30:03was sending her supplies.
30:06Food, everything. Toys, everything.
30:09And in the midst of so much hardship,
30:11the pastor's message was not one of sorrow but of joy.
30:15God is good. And she said it very strong.
30:19And she said, Sir, God is good. He is very good.
30:24It's been just 17 days since I took the oath of office.
30:27Wow, 17 days. It's — time still flies.
30:31It's 17 days. It's gone.
30:33I've been so busy that it's hard to believe.
30:39But we've done a lot in 17 days, haven't we?
30:42And in those 17 days, we've accomplished, really,
30:47what some people haven't accomplished in eight years.
30:49From the flood-ravaged valleys of North Carolina
30:53to the flame-scorched bluffs of California.
30:55I went there. What a shame that is.
30:58I've never seen anything like it.
31:01As far as the eye could see,
31:02just devastation of rich neighborhoods.
31:05Very rich neighborhoods. Some of the richest people
31:07in the country lost their houses.
31:10Rich and middle-income. I wouldn't say poor people.
31:14Pretty — this was a rough — this was a rough period of weeks.
31:19You know, I opened the floodgates a few days ago.
31:24Let the water come down
31:26because the environmentalists didn't want water.
31:28They still don't want it. If they had their choice,
31:30they don't want it. I said, Are you crazy?
31:34And I opened — I'm sure you've seen it.
31:36The water comes down from the northwest parts of Canada,
31:39I guess, and — but the Pacific Northwest.
31:43And it comes down by millions and millions of barrels a day.
31:48And I opened it up. It wasn't that easy to do.
31:53But I opened it up, and it's pouring down.
31:55And it's a beautiful thing. And it should have happened.
32:00I told them to do it in my last term.
32:05They didn't do it. But now we just did it.
32:07They didn't want to do it, but we did it.
32:10But from the gang-ridden streets of our inner cities
32:14to the war-torn lands of the Middle East,
32:16we're working urgently to restore hope and prosperity,
32:20safety, and peace all over.
32:22Every single day of this administration
32:25will act with purpose and historic speed.
32:29Because like that pastor in North Carolina,
32:31we know that God is good, our future is bright,
32:34and America's glorious destiny is just within our reach.
32:38And so, together, we will make America stronger and prouder,
32:42safer, freer, greater,
32:44and more faithful to our God than ever before.
32:48And I just want to thank you.
32:49You're very, very special people.
32:51You're great people. It's an honor to be with you.
32:53And I will see you again next year.
32:57Thank you very much. God bless you all.
33:00And God bless America. God bless you.
