Transcript
00:00Hi, my name's Jack Marshall, I'm a digital food and drink reporter and welcome to our
00:05latest video covering the newest kind of news, breaking news, ongoings in the world of food,
00:12fast food, specifically in this case KFC, who have just released a new line of drinks.
00:18They're called Quench. There are six of them, as you can see from the image behind me, and
00:23I went down to their launch event in Manchester. They have a branch on Deansgate in Manchester
00:27and it was completely closed for this specific and very exclusive launch event, just to introduce
00:32the public and a bunch of people who were invited along to try the drinks, introduce
00:36them to them and just get people talking about them and get a bit of a chat about them online.
00:41So just to give you a bit of a lowdown, the launch of a new range of drinks called Quench
00:47includes a variety of options. It's got lemonades, refresher shakes, ice coffees, and they've
00:52been out and available at a number of UK stores and a lot of stores in the North West since
00:57January the 27th. There are four categories, lemonades, popping refreshers, crunch shakes
01:02and ice coffee crunch. Each category has a selection offering exciting flavours, including
01:08sparkling raspberry lemonade, cherry popping refreshers, caramel crunch shake and an iced
01:13mocha coffee crunch. I tried a couple of them while I was there. It was a really cool vibe,
01:18lovely lights, cool light show going on. There was literally a DJ in this KFC. You've never
01:23seen anything like it before. I tried a spiced mango one, spiced mango lemonade, which was
01:28delicious, really spicy. As you might be able to tell, I'm suffering from a bit of a cold,
01:32a bit of a sore throat at the minute and the spiciness and the ginger cleared me right
01:36up. It was great. And I also had the coffee one as well, which was a really nice balance
01:40between your traditional, classic kind of iced coffees, which are really refreshing
01:44while still giving you that classic coffee flavour. But it also had a bit of creaminess
01:48to it, a bit of flavour, a bit of chocolate in there as well, which was a nice touch.
01:52So it's just kind of that in between, between like a really heavy milkshake and something
01:56like an iced coffee, something which I think I said at the time to a few people there,
02:00I think it's going to be a really big hit when the summer months come around and touch
02:03would be get a bit of warmer weather. So yeah, I'm just talking through what KFC have said
02:09about this new range. They said these drinks are freshly prepared in store and designed
02:12to cater to all tastes, offering everything from light, refreshing beverages to indulgent
02:18shakes. The quench range is aimed at Gen Z with bold and eye-catching flavours, set to make KFC
02:24a go-to destination for younger customers. This is the vibe they're going for, something a bit
02:27different, something a bit cool, something which is really going to capture a lot of people's
02:31imaginations. That's certainly what happened at the event. Like I said, loads of people there
02:35taking pictures, having a great time, just talking about the drinks. Everyone was trying them.
02:39Everyone seems to be really enjoying them. Like we've said before, there's really something for
02:43everyone with these drinks, everything from, if you just want a quick refreshing lemonade
02:46to something a bit more coffee-based, something a bit sweeter as well, you've got you covered.
02:51Quench is available at a bunch of restaurants, like we said, across Greater Manchester,
02:55across the North West, and I think it's just kind of perfect for that kind of summer vibe,
03:00warmer weather. You're sat out there, you want refreshing, grab yourself a lemonade,
03:03grab yourself a nice coffee version, you're laughing. So yeah, thanks for watching. Guys,
03:07grab yourself a quench and let us know what you think. Cheers.
