00:00As for the RSP, our OOTD is not complete
00:04if we don't have a favorite and a strong pair of shoes.
00:09But do you know that this business is perfect because it needs a lot of people?
00:13How do we do that? Let's find out in Negosyo Tayo.
00:20I'm Kenneth Padayaw.
00:22We are producing genuine leather sandals and shoes for men and women.
00:31My business started with my parents.
00:35I inherited it during college.
00:38I dropped out of college, so I decided to start my own business.
00:43That was the downfall of our business.
00:45So I decided to start my own business,
00:48hoping to survive eventually.
00:51At first, they were afraid that I wouldn't be able to do it.
00:55But when they saw that I was able to do it,
00:58they helped me.
01:00They taught me how to manage my business
01:05and how to maintain what we have.
01:10At first, it was still weak.
01:13Of course, I was still learning the flow and details of the business.
01:19Eventually, when I had clients,
01:24the business started to shoot up.
01:29When I first started, the business was still weak.
01:33So I tried to work in a corporate.
01:36Hopefully, my business will reach my children and grandchildren
01:41because this is our bread and butter since I was a kid,
01:47including my parents.
01:49I don't want to cut off the legacy of the Marikina family.
01:56We sell online or we supply to online centers.
02:01From the start of buying materials,
02:04we check if the quality of the leather we get is good.
02:09From suppliers and then from production,
02:12we check every portion of production from time to time
02:16to see if the patterns and procedures we use are good
02:22so that we can make good sandals or shoes.
02:26One of the challenges is the supply of materials.
02:31Employees are getting older,
02:34so there are no more young manufacturers or employees.
02:38Prices are rising.
02:40Materials are getting more expensive.
02:43We have a lot of competitors.
02:46I learned a lot about how to handle a budget,
02:50how to handle people,
02:52the points of view in life.
02:54You're not sure if you're always up or down.
02:58You just have to work hard and be positive.
03:04To young entrepreneurs,
03:07be positive, work hard, keep grinding,
03:10pursue what you want to do.
03:12It takes time, but it will eventually work out in the future.
03:17Let's go! Let's do business!
