00:00Because of Charisse Lagdameo's hobby of dressing up and pampering salons,

00:05she decided to build her own nails and brows studio so that she won't be far from it.

00:11Let's find out her business story here in Negosyo Tayo.

00:20I'm Charisse Agnagdameo, owner of a nails and brows studio here in Roses Ave, Quezon City.

00:31I started working as a talent in one of the channels, TV channels, before.

00:38And then I worked as an English online tutor,

00:42I became a school nurse, an aesthetic nurse, and then I became a manager of a grooming lounge.

00:49And then I worked during the pandemic as a financial advisor.

00:54After that, I worked as a virtual medical assistant.

00:58So this business started because I like cleaning nails, applying nail art,

01:06and then I like getting my lashes done, and then I like fixing my eyebrows.

01:12But I couldn't find a permanent salon or a nail studio that I wanted to go to.

01:19So I thought of building my own nail studio.

01:23Maybe I saw a good one in a salon, but it didn't seem to go well together.

01:28So that's why I built it so that all of my learnings from other salons,

01:34I tried to combine it.

01:36When I planned to build this, I studied from permanent makeup.

01:41So I studied in actually three schools that are different.

01:45So that I can learn well,

01:48and the differences of each school's teaching or technique.

01:52In services, we have nails.

01:54Aside from nails, we also have foot spa, hand spa.

01:58We have brows, so we have permanent makeup.

02:01Microblading, hair stroke.

02:03The new one is the nano hair stroke.

02:06And then we have eyeliner, lip blushing, and lash extensions.

02:11Also, we have massage.

02:13We were challenged with location.

02:16Of course, we need a feasible location.

02:21A location that people can easily go to.

02:23Second, the employees.

02:26Of course, a lot of them already have experience.

02:30But when it comes to attitude and personality, it doesn't match.

02:35So of course, we need to choose well.

02:38For a lot of people to do well, they also need to have a good character or personality.

02:45Of course, the nail industry is huge.

02:49We have a lot of competitors, especially since we're new.

02:53And then, I know a lot of nail salons that have been around for a long time.

02:58Which is my inspiration, instead of being a problem.

03:01It's an inspiration for me that they've been around for 7 years, 10 years.

03:05For those who want to start a business,

03:09we should first think and study what we want to start.

03:14We don't just need to start a business because we already have one.

03:18We need to like it and know what we're going to do.

03:23And of course, we need to always pray.

03:26Because nothing is impossible for Him, and He won't forsake us.

03:32So before you start a business,

03:35think, study, and pray so that your heart is whole.

03:41That's why, let's start a business!
