00:30because of the espionage.

00:33This is contrary to what the wife of the suspect, Dayuhan, said.

00:36She said that the suspect was not an espion,

00:40and that her job is related to the company of the self-driving vehicle.

00:45The NSC and AFP had a surveillance operation on Dayuhan

00:51before he was arrested last week in Makati City along with two other Filipinos.

00:57NSC Assistant Director General Jonathan Malaya added,

01:01he said,

01:02it is expected that more people will be arrested in the next few days because of espionage.

01:09Retired Associate Justice Antonio Carpio

01:14supported the amendment of the Espionage Law of the Philippines.

01:17Carpio said that a lot should be updated in the law

01:20because of the new threat to security.
