00:00Hello there. Low pressure, still very much in charge, dragging in some heavy showers
00:05across parts of the country. This is set to continue as we head into this afternoon. Still
00:10a yellow rain warning in force across southern parts of Wales. These heavy showers will sweep
00:14their way across the country, merging, bringing longer spells of rain. We could also see some
00:19hail and some thunder and lightning mixed in with these showers at times too, particularly
00:23across the south. There may be slightly more in the way of dry weather across the northern
00:27half of the UK, that's away from coastal areas, but still across Scotland, Northern Ireland,
00:31still a fair few showers moving in here, particularly across Scotland where there likely fall as
00:35snow across the hills. Now temperatures are around about average for the time of year,
00:40perhaps slightly milder across the south, but that's still being offset by the wet and
00:43windy weather, particularly across the southwest where it's still expected to be rather windy,
00:47particularly around exposed spots. Then overnight we start to see a little bit of a change.
00:52Still plenty of showers though moving in across Wales, southern parts of the UK, but eventually
00:56dying out towards the early hours of the morning, particularly across the central half
01:00of the UK. So more in the way of clear skies, lighter winds too, so it could turn quite
01:05chilly actually overnight. You may even see some pockets of frost, perhaps a little bit
01:09of fog just moving in across parts of the south. That's away from Scotland though, still
01:13plenty of showers, longer spells of rain moving in here, once again likely falling as snow
01:17across high ground. So a chillier start on Wednesday, then it all lies on this area of
01:22low pressure, just moving some heavy rain through into the continent here. Also some
01:27strong winds too, so for parts of the Channel Islands, southern counties, it could be quite
01:31a wet and windy afternoon on offer. Away from this though, plenty of dry weather around,
01:36probably fewer showers compared to what we've seen in the last few days, even some sunshine
01:41poking through by the time it gets to the afternoon. Once again though, plenty of cloud
01:44across Scotland, perhaps northern parts of England too, and still plenty of showers moving
01:48through here. Once again, snow across hills and likely seeing still a few showers around
01:52coastal areas of Northern Ireland, but on the whole a slightly better day across England
01:57or Wales. That's away from the far south where we're likely to see outbreaks of rain and
02:01also some gusty winds around coasts. Temperatures once again right about where they should be
02:07for the time of year, still slightly milder across the southwest where we're going to
02:10see that wet weather. Now if you're on the hunt for something a bit more drier, well
02:15I'm pleased to tell you that once this area of low pressure moves its way towards the
02:19southeast, then we'll start to see a ridge of high pressure build on Thursday. So that's
02:23going to ease away most of those showers by the time we reach Thursday. So there's actually
02:27going to be lots of dry weather around, maybe even some more sunshine for some. But for
02:31more details on that, subscribe to our YouTube channel so that you never miss an update.
