00:00Good morning everyone it's Steph at the Doncaster Free Press and it's Friday January the 24th
00:04bringing you some of our headlines. I don't want to state the obvious but it's very very windy today
00:09the storm has turned up as promised it's hit Doncaster there's a number of places had to
00:15close including the wildlife park because of the strong winds so take care out there obviously
00:20there's there's a chance of trees being blown over slates from roofs that sort of things so
00:26do take care we've put out a piece from Northern Power Grid with some contact details on there
00:31regarding power cuts we've had quite a few houses in Bolby that have been affected and right across
00:36the borough actually so take a look at that if you're struggling and you can get in touch with
00:41them and they can try and help you out. In other news I know over the last couple of days we've
00:46had a few stories on Doncaster Sheffield airport it's starting to take shape by the looks of it
00:53we had a piece a government document that was revealed a couple of days back and in response
00:59to that Ros Jones spoke before full council yesterday about an operator being lined up
01:07to take charge of the airport she's given us a date of spring 2026 for it to be reopened
01:13so watch this space obviously I'll try and keep you updated as and when people get in touch and
