00:00A security guard detailed in a Mandaluyong City mall is now without work after rough housing and physically abusing a student selling Sampaguita Lays and another Sampaguita peddling kid thereafter.

00:11Gab Villegas reports.

00:15The attack by a security guard on a student selling Sampaguita in a well-known mall in Mandaluyong City has gone viral on social media.

00:22The video shows the guard messing up the student's Sampaguita Lays.

00:25The guard was not satisfied so he kicked her and she defended herself.

00:28In his rage, he also drove away another kid selling Sampaguitas.

00:32In a statement, the mall management said that they regret and sympathize with the young girl involved in the incident.

00:38The mall management has called the attention of the security agency to conduct an immediate thorough probe on the incident.

00:44Eventually, the guard was dismissed from duty and will never be allowed to work in their malls again.

00:48For its part, the Philippine National Police Supervisory Office of Security and Investigation Agency or PNP-SOSA,

00:55after seeing the images on record, issued a statement that it won't condone such deplorable and inhuman act.

01:01According to Civil Security Group Spokesperson Police Lt. Col. Udison Gultiano,

01:05PNP-SOSA is conducting a motu proprio investigation on an administrative complaint to be filed against the security guard.

01:12He said if the security guard is found guilty, his license could be summarily revoked and will no longer be able to work as a security guard ever.

01:20Considering that there are a lot of possible cases that could be filed, it could be aggravated,

01:26he could be imposed a suspension penalty and his license could also be revoked.

01:36He said the PNP-SOSA also hinted the Red Eye 2 Security Agency could be held liable for the security guard's conduct.

01:42The Department of Social Welfare and Development will contact the local Social Welfare and Development Office

01:47to ensure a positive intervention for the child in the viral video.

01:50The collaboration of the DSWD and local government units is very important for me to solve my concerns.
