00:00The Department of Health celebrated their achievements in providing medical services to Filipinos.

00:13A few years after the COVID-19 pandemic hit the country,

00:17the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. prioritized strengthening the health sector.

00:24In fact, the Department of Health established eight priority programs,

00:28including vaccination, mental health, and HIV-AIDS prevention.

00:33The Bukas Center will also expand.

00:35Currently, there are 43 functional centers in different parts of the Philippines.

00:39The new Philippines Mobile Clinic and Puro Kalusugan will also expand

00:43to reach our fellow Filipinos living in remote areas.

00:48Quality and affordable health care will continue to be provided to Filipinos

00:53in geographically isolated areas throughout the country.

00:57Filipino nutrition will also be prioritized through information dissemination.

01:03We will be the healthiest people here in the ASEAN region

01:09and for the government to be able to provide affordable, quality health care.

01:15The DOH will continue to address the problems of the spread of various diseases

01:20such as dengue, tuberculosis, and monkeypox.

01:23The country's health care facilities will also triple.

01:26Health care workers will be prioritized in areas in need of medical assistance.

01:32Government health care workers will also increase their salaries

01:35and be given adequate training for their career and professional growth.

01:40The DOH has assured the continued service of PhilHealth to our fellow Filipinos.

01:45PhilHealth is very healthy.

01:47In fact, we just approved in the board a Php 284 billion corporate operating budget.

01:53And we have been increasing the benefit packages.

01:58Vaccination in the country will also be prioritized,

02:00particularly childhood immunization, where 16 diseases can be prevented.

02:06Because of this, the government's target is to reach 95% of immunized children in the country by 2025.
