00:00Our youth in such a scenario, and you are the most vital stakeholders.
00:07You need to notice that startups are now springing not from metros only, they are springing also
00:16from Tier 2, Tier 3 cities.
00:21We are the largest, third in number when it comes to global ecosystem, 1.5 lakh startups
00:29in India, 67 unicorns.
00:34And when you focus on this figure, you will be surprised, majorly the component that has
00:42done it is boys and girls like you.
00:47You have brought it about.
00:50The world is accolading us, because boys and girls like you, who stepped out of universities
00:56and institutions, have done this.
01:01The foundation of our growth lies in inclusiveness.
01:06That's our cultural heritage.
01:09That is our civilizational sense.
01:12And look at the nature of our inclusiveness.
01:15From Zandhan accounts to digital infrastructure, from rural electrification to pipe water connections,
01:23from affordable housing to healthcare coverage, development has reached the last mile.
01:30In a country of 1.4 billion, such accomplishments are not easy.
01:37The challenge was Himalayan, it was successfully overcome.
01:43And all these benefits, dear students and distinguished audience, is driven by equality,
01:52equity and fairness.
01:56All these benefits are non-discriminatory.
02:01Every segment of the populace has benefited from these developments.
02:08Friends, India is also a democracy that delivers development.
02:15Development has been the main keyword of governance in the last few years.
02:21Infrastructure in India is expanding rapidly.
02:26And just to illustrate, four new airports and one metro system every year.
02:34That is the scale of achievement we are having.
02:38When it comes to our daily achievements, we have 14 kilometers of highways and 6 kilometers of railways
02:47being added on a daily basis.
02:51Friends, there was a time when we looked from a distance, a metro system.
03:00My generation thought, when will it come to India, if at all?
03:06But look at the scenario now.
03:09The contemporary scene is, India's urban transit covers through metro rail now.
03:17That includes 1,000 kilometers across 11 states and 23 cities.
03:25We have surpassed Japan.
03:28And there will be a time in the near future when India will be the second largest metro
03:35in terms of coverage.
03:39Friends, what do we need?
03:43We need a soothing environment, a wholesome environment.
03:46And what do we have at the moment?
03:49There is an environment of hope and possibility.
03:53We are surcharged.
03:55We are full of hope.
03:58We take things to be possible because there is affirmative governance.
04:04The basket of opportunity for our youth has expanded exponentially.
04:10I would want you, boys and girls, to focus on that.
04:15Good governance is fueling newer ambitions.
04:19Our generation is now imbued with one attitude, and that is can-do.
04:28You don't have to think a second time.
04:31Can-do attitude should be your attitude because there is affirmative governance, hand-holding
04:39policies that will overcome all hurdles that used to be there earlier to fortify an idea
04:48that may occur to you.
04:50I urge the UNHCR management to particularly focus and make our young boys and girls aware
04:59of the need.
