00:00Both. I think both are important. Both are important. There are so many talented people
00:09out there. Nurturing them and collaborating with them and creating great content is the
00:18way to go, I feel.
00:19See, it's a… or any experiment we do, any experiment we do, whether it's a Royal
00:28Express, Boombox, or anything that I've done all my life, or any artist has done all
00:32their life, our job is to experiment. Our job is to do our duty. What will the audience
00:40react and take away out of it is completely in our hands. We can only do as much. So this
00:46was just an attempt, which is a great attempt, great concept that there's two worlds meeting,
00:51colliding, coming together and trying to give birth to something new. So whatever that birth
00:57we have given, it's all done with all pure intentions, pure heart. And the rest, the
01:04audience is my father.
01:05You know, everything, I have balanced out every aspect. It's nothing 50-60, nothing
01:1540-60, everything is 50-50. So that is my track that I have done for Royal Express Boombox,
01:23it's called Mohabbat. And Mohabbat is, as per the brief, it is properly a Bollywood
01:29soundtrack. It's a very typical Bollywood sounding song, which is very filmy in its
01:34own vibe, yet it's independent. Yet it's filmy, yet it's independent. And it has got
01:39Shlochita doing his magic, weaving his magic with his style of hip-hop. So it's a blend
01:44of Bollywood and hip-hop, which has come together nicely.
01:46It's wrong. Top streaming artists are Harijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal. How can they be
01:56top streaming artists? It's wrong.
02:03See, there has always been a mindset towards the West. There has always been a superior
02:12hierarchy. Something about the white people in the West, which we have always had. So
02:19anything that they do or come in, it attracts instantly. And it becomes a very cool quotient,
02:25I would say, rather. So it becomes a peer pressure and a FOMO rather than, I want to
02:33hear that artist. 70% of the people have no idea about Coldplay's entire repertoire.
02:40They might have heard one or two songs, but they don't know who Chris Martin is or what
02:45their band comprises. They don't know their history. Nobody knows where they came from,
02:50when they started. The Parachute was a 20-year-old album. What were they doing before that?
02:55They were from England. They grew up in England. Nobody knows much about it. But they have
03:00a hype, a FOMO, a euphoria. So it's peer pressure. Just to be cool. What else?
03:11I have done a lot of concerts. And we have done a lot of concerts all over the country.
03:17Honestly speaking, each one to their own. It's really each one to their own.
03:23What are the requirements, what is needed at that moment, what is not fulfilled.
03:30It's everyone's own. But I have not paid attention to all this much, honestly.
03:36And I do my work. My main thing is that we, the artists, should have a good sound.
03:45We should have a good sound in our ears so that we can hear what we are singing,
03:51what is being played. And then we can perform properly. The stage should be good
03:57so that no one falls down. Basic requirements. There are no heavy-duty requirements.
04:02Till now, to be honest, I don't have any major complaints. But each one to their own.
04:06Everybody has their own way of looking at things. So I respect that.
04:14That's it. Keep giving love like this.
