03:55More than 3,000 bilingual primary school teachers will benefit from an accelerated training.
04:01The generalization of the Amazigh language education
04:04was announced today in Rabat by the Ministers of National Education, Pre-School and Hope,
04:10Mohamed De Saad Berada, in response to an oral question from the Progress Party and Socialism.
04:16In the House of Representatives on the promotion of Amazigh language education and its teachers,
04:22the Minister indicated that a total of 650,936 students are currently taking Amazigh classes in 3,400 primary schools.
04:35The integration of the Amazigh language into the educational system
04:38is a path that Morocco has gradually followed since 2003 at the primary level.
04:44The Ministry of National Education aims to reach 50% of the coverage rate in 2026
04:50and to achieve a generalized integration by 2030.
04:54Explanations are given by Maha Jamal and Youssef Ouhamou.
05:00Since 2003, Morocco has worked to integrate Amazigh into national education
05:05with the creation of IRCAM to promote the language and culture in Amazigh.
05:09In 2011, the Moroccan Constitution granted Amazigh an official status,
05:14placing it on an equal footing with the Arab.
05:17This recognition has led to initiatives to train teachers and develop suitable pedagogical resources.
05:29The work to integrate Amazigh into national education dates back to 2003,
05:33except that there are huge obstacles such as the lack of human resources
05:37to generalize the teaching of Amazigh language in Morocco.
05:40However, this does not prevent us from recalling the continuous efforts
05:44provided by the Provincial and Regional Directions of National Education
05:48to recruit teachers and offer them continuous training and intensive training
05:54in order to strengthen their professional skills.
06:00Here, in this primary school in the capital Rabat,
06:03Amazigh language is taught in its original letter, Tifinar,
06:07while using modern technologies to improve the pedagogical quality.
06:12However, the time allocated and the human resources remain limited.
06:22Over the years, the teaching of Amazigh language has been expanded
06:26despite some obstacles in terms of human resources.
06:29In our school, out of 462 students,
06:32nearly 62% were able to take advantage of Amazigh language courses.
06:36This means that 208 students have reached the 4th level of Amazigh language
06:40and they will soon be able to master levels 5 and 6.
06:49Faced with the explanations of their teachers,
06:52the students react with perspicacity, concentration and fervor
06:56with this new language, which they seem to assimilate quickly.
07:01Most of the students who do not speak the Amazigh language
07:04are very curious to discover this language
07:07and express their desire to learn it.
07:10They are ready to make efforts to be able to read, write and speak in Amazigh.
07:14Of course, there are obstacles in terms of resources,
07:17but I think that the concerned ministry is actively looking into this.
07:22To integrate the Amazigh language into the Moroccan educational curriculum,
07:26the Amazigh associative actors recommend the increase of the number of courses available,
07:31the formation of a larger number of teachers per year
07:34and the integration of the Amazigh manual on the list of school manuals.
07:38By 2030, and according to the Ministry of Education,
07:41the Amazigh language will be the only language in the world
07:44to be integrated into the curriculum.
07:52The Amazigh language education will benefit some 4 million students
07:56in 12,000 primary education institutions.
08:03The city of Al-Oceima continues the celebration of the new year in Amazigh,
08:07for the second consecutive year,
08:10this cultural event is celebrated by all Moroccans
08:14as the official national holiday paid.
08:18Mahamad Rishi tells us more in this story from Sheyma Fikri.
08:22In a festive atmosphere mixing art and heritage,
08:25the place Mohamed VI of Al-Oceima celebrates the new year in Amazigh.
08:30The festivities began with traditional music concerts
08:33and folkloric dances,
08:35illustrating the richness of Moroccan cultural diversity.
08:39The public had the opportunity to enjoy the performances of the artistic groups
08:43which highlighted the multiple facets of the Amazigh heritage.
08:51As Amazigh, the recognition of the new year in Amazigh as a holiday
08:54allows us to feel that we are fully part of Moroccan society.
09:04As part of the 9th edition of the Caravan of Intangible Heritage,
09:08the Regional Directorate of Agriculture organized a fair
09:11to highlight the products of the terroir of the province of Al-Oceima.
09:15It is an opportunity to highlight the richness of this region of the mountains of the Rif.
09:22In a space dedicated to traditional cuisine,
09:24the most emblematic Amazigh dishes were put on display,
09:28illustrating the richness and diversity of Amazigh gastronomy.
09:32Prepared with local ingredients and according to traditional methods,
09:36these dishes have given visitors a unique opportunity
09:39to discover aspects of the Amazigh heritage through taste.
09:45This cake called Tshelchem is very popular in the Rif region
09:48and is prepared in a very simple way.
09:52Al-Oceima and its neighboring regions celebrate the new year in Amazigh,
09:56an event carrying a message of unity and pride of the heritage.
10:00This celebration follows the decision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI
10:04to designate January 14 as a national holiday,
10:08a gesture that strengthened the pride of the Amazigh identity
10:12as an essential component of the Moroccan identity.
10:18And to celebrate the new year in Amazigh,
10:20in January 2975,
10:23a rich and varied program in animation and activities
10:27was prepared by the municipality of Agadir.
10:30These celebrations, scheduled from January 10 to 17,
10:33are part of the continuity of the royal decision
10:36announced by His Majesty King Mohammed VI
10:39to establish January 14, corresponding to the first day of the year in Amazigh,
10:43as an official holiday in Morocco.
10:46More details with Abdelmoula Boukhrais.
10:48The story is signed by Inam Rini.
10:55The city of Agadir celebrates the new year in Amazigh and says Neir.
10:59Rituals that reflect the attachment of the Amazigh population
11:02to their ancient traditions are immortalized in different ways.
11:06On this occasion, local cuisine is highlighted,
11:09including couscous, which is prepared with barley,
11:13where a date core is introduced inside.
11:16The one who finds it is considered to be blessed for the year to come.
11:24We would like the rising generations to remain attached to this Amazigh heritage.
11:28We celebrate the new year in Amazigh every year
11:31in order to promote and preserve our traditions.
11:34And Neir is very popular with young people and minors.
11:38Everyone finds their own way.
11:40This celebration also allows us to promote our local products,
11:44such as argan oil, amlou, honey, among others.
11:58We are in Agadir to celebrate Eid-e-Neir,
12:01with, as you can see, the traditional Amazigh dress.
12:04I take this opportunity to wish a happy new year to all the Amazigh people in the world.
12:10The 1975 Eid-e-Neir event
12:13essentially aims to enhance the Amazigh culture
12:16as a fundamental element of Moroccan identity
12:19and to consolidate the values of coexistence and cultural openness.
12:23This event also aims to position the city of Agadir
12:26as a tourist and cultural destination of excellence
12:29at the national and international level.
12:37I wish a happy new year to all the Amazigh people.
12:40It is an exceptional event.
12:42I take this opportunity to express my deep gratitude
12:45to His Majesty the King Mohammed.
12:47I wish a happy new year to all the Amazigh people.
12:50I take this opportunity to express my deep gratitude
12:53to His Majesty King Mohammed VI
12:55who educated on 14 January,
12:57the first day of the Amazigh year
13:00as an official holiday in Morocco.
13:02I would also like to thank the King
13:04for integrating the Amazigh language
13:06in public administration and education.
13:08We are honoured to be here in Agadir
13:10to participate in this ceremony.
13:12We are here today to thank the citizens for their support.
13:17The program of the festivities will cover 12 places in the city,
13:21including the public squares and gardens of Agadir.
13:24This program offers the inhabitants of the capital of Sousse and its visitors
13:28an opportunity to attend large artistic evenings in a festive atmosphere.
13:34The museums that trace the history of the Amazigh heritage
13:38are now increasingly built in Morocco.
13:41The latest is the restoration in Rabat by the National Museums Foundation of Zoudaïa.
13:46Ilham Berada and Hayat Ziani take us on a guided tour.
13:51The Museum of Zoudaïa is one of the first museums created in Morocco.
13:55In 2022, it was restored by the National Museums Foundation
13:59and now bears the name of the National Museum of Appearance.
14:03A total of 8,000 objects are exhibited,
14:06including bags, belts, shoes, jewelry and costumes.
14:14Jewels are considered sociological and economic expressions.
14:18Appearances are an indicator of the social class of the woman who wears them.
14:23They are also an identity indicator,
14:26which reflects the origin of the jewelry.
14:29We can take the example of the kurziya,
14:32this belt worn by the woman in northern Morocco.
14:35It was a device that allowed her to cover herself,
14:38but also to use it to keep her money.
14:48In Marrakech, it is in Jacques Majorel's old painting workshop
14:52that the Berber Museum was inaugurated in 2011
14:55under the high patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
14:58Located in the heart of the Majorel Garden,
15:01it presents a panorama of the extraordinary creativity
15:04of this people, the oldest in North Africa.
15:07From the reef to the Sahara,
15:09more than 600 collected objects are exhibited.
15:12They bear witness to the richness and diversity
15:15of an ever-living culture,
15:17based in particular on sharing.
15:20The sharing of food.
15:22From the moment we share food, we share salt,
15:26there is a kind of bond that resembles the Kansanga bond.
15:32It is almost interpreted as a very strong bond
15:36that is close to the Kansanga bond,
15:39and so we must help each other,
15:42we must respond to the request of the members of society
15:47with whom we shared a meal or food.
15:54Whether in Marrakech or Rabat,
15:56these museums are a screen of culture
15:58that bears witness to a plural Morocco, open to the world.
16:17Let's talk about something else this Monday.
16:19The new head of state of Lebanon,
16:21Joseph Aoun, who appointed the president
16:24of the International Court of Justice, Nawaf Salam,
16:27as prime minister,
16:28is in charge of training the new government
16:30to declare the presidency.
16:32Joseph Aoun called on Nawaf Salam
16:35to entrust him with the formation of the government
16:38while he is currently abroad,
16:40and it is expected that he will return tomorrow
16:42to announce the general director of the presidency,
16:45Antoine Choucair,
16:47after parliamentary consultations.
16:52And then let's go to Gaza,
16:54where negotiations are underway
16:56for the release of the 94 hostages,
16:58of which 34 are dead, according to the army,
17:01and a truce agreement with Rabat
17:03has intensified in recent days.
17:05In spite of the intense diplomatic efforts
17:07carried out under the auspices of Qatar,
17:09Egypt and the United States,
17:12no truce has been concluded
17:14since a week intervened,
17:16at the end of November 2023,
17:18which saw the release of a hundred hostages.
17:21The Israeli Foreign Ministry,
17:23Gideon Saar,
17:24has indicated today
17:26that Israel is working hard
17:28to obtain an agreement
17:30that would put an end to the war
17:32in the Gaza Strip
17:33and would allow the release of the hostages.
17:41A month and a few days
17:42after the fall of Bashar al-Assad's regime,
17:44the future of Syria
17:46was yesterday at the heart of a meeting in Riyadh.
17:48A meeting at the end of which
17:50Saudi Arabia has claimed
17:52the lifting of sanctions imposed on this country.
17:55European diplomacy,
17:56well represented in this meeting,
17:58does not oppose it,
18:00but still poses some conditions
18:02for the development with Switzerland.
18:07Saudi Arabia calls for lifting sanctions against Damascus.
18:11A month after the fall of former President Bashar al-Assad,
18:14Saudi Arabia,
18:15first economy of the Middle East,
18:17seeks to increase its influence in Syria,
18:19now led by a transitional government.
18:22At the end of a meeting in Riyadh,
18:24leaders of European diplomacy and the Middle East,
18:26on the future of Syria,
18:28the head of Saudi diplomacy,
18:29Prince Faisal bin Farhan,
18:31called for lifting the unilateral
18:33and international sanctions imposed on Syria
18:36to allow its development and reconstruction.
18:40Participants welcomed the positive measures
18:43taken by the new Syrian administration
18:46in the field of the preservation of state institutions,
18:49the adoption of a dialogue approach with the Syrian parties
18:52and its commitment to fight terrorism
18:54and to launch a political process
18:56that includes the different segments of the Syrian brotherly people,
18:59in a way that ensures the stability of the country
19:01and the preservation of its territorial integrity.
19:05Two meetings were held in Riyadh,
19:07the first between Arab countries
19:08and the second including Western representatives
19:10of the United Nations, the European Union and Turkey.
19:13The head of European Diplomacy,
19:15Kaya Kalas,
19:16said that the 27 countries
19:18could gradually ease their sanctions
19:20provided that tangible progress is made,
19:23especially on the protection of minorities.
19:31We are talking about the lifting of sanctions
19:33that hinder the development of the country.
19:35Access to banking services in particular.
19:37But of course, we must start with the conditions.
19:40If we see that development is going in the right direction,
19:43we are ready to move on to the next steps.
19:46But we must also have a position of retreat.
19:49If we see that this is not going in the right direction,
19:52then we can also go back.
20:00Saudi Arabia,
20:01which had broken its ties with the Assad regime in 2012,
20:04has reestablished its relations with Syria in 2023
20:06and is working to return to the Arab League.
20:09But finally, its diplomatic isolation.
20:11Riyadh observes a more prudent position
20:13vis-à-vis new Syrian authorities
20:15than other countries such as Turkey and Qatar,
20:17which were the first to reopen the Damascus embassy.
20:22The Tunisians will celebrate tomorrow
20:24the 14th anniversary of the Tunisian revolution,
20:27with the hope of a political relaxation
20:30after three years of divisions and tensions
20:32between Tunisia and Saudi Arabia.
20:38Tuesday, January 14,
20:40the Tunisian revolution celebrates its 14th anniversary
20:43in a world context marked by rapid and unpredictable upheavals.
20:48The Tunisian president, Reza Said,
20:51expressed himself in his speech
20:54for the first time since his accession to power
20:57that he exercises his share
20:59on the importance of national unity
21:01as a front line defense
21:03against attempts to destabilize.
21:06But he did not specify the meaning of national unity,
21:10whether it is a national dialogue
21:13or the opening of a channel of communication
21:16with the parties and organizations that support it.
21:21There are many challenges,
21:23but the biggest of these challenges
21:26is a solid national unity
21:28capable of breaking all desperate attempts
21:31aimed at undermining stability.
21:35These days, information circulates behind the scenes
21:38according to which the Tunisian presidency
21:41will organize a political dialogue
21:44that could start next spring,
21:47with the exception of major opposition forces
21:50such as the National Salute Front,
21:53led by Ahmed Neji Bechebbi.
21:57The authorities reject and do not believe
22:00in national dialogue.
22:02On our side, we call on the political parties
22:05and civil society to come together
22:08and agree on a plan to get Tunisia out
22:11of the double political and economic crisis
22:14as well as to achieve a balance
22:17of political powers.
22:21We are faced with a social and economic political climate
22:25that must be open and conciliatory.
22:28It is necessary to clarify what we mean
22:31by this dialogue, to determine its calendar
22:34and to identify the parties that will participate.
22:37But if the dialogue only includes those
22:40who have similar opinions,
22:42then this dialogue will not serve Tunisia.
22:46Observers believe that many factors
22:49can hinder any political dialogue,
22:52the most important being the question
22:55of political prisoners and the continuous
22:58imprisonment of first-class opponents.
23:01Los Angeles is preparing a return
23:04of threatening violent winds,
23:07named the fires that left scenes
23:10of desolation in its agglomeration
23:13and have now killed 24 people,
23:16according to a new report provided on Sunday.
23:19A large part of Los Angeles is reduced to ashes.
23:22The efforts of thousands of firefighters
23:25have allowed to contain the progression of the fire,
23:28but the fire continues to wreak havoc.
23:31The situation is likely to deteriorate
23:34in the coming days.
23:36The hot and dry winds of California
23:39must regain power.
23:41The American Meteorological Service
23:44foresees a particularly dangerous situation.
23:47These winds, combined with low humidities
23:50and the critical weather conditions
23:53for the fires, will continue until Wednesday.
23:56These winds, combined with a low rate
23:59of humidity from the fuel,
24:02will maintain the threat of very high
24:05fires throughout Los Angeles.
24:08To all residents, please be assured
24:11that we will be there for you
24:14until the last fire is completely extinguished.
24:23Anthony Marron reassured that his teams
24:26had received a lot of equipment,
24:29including dozens of firetrucks
24:32as well as human reinforcements,
24:35to deal with the situation.
24:38More than 12,000 houses or buildings
24:41are still affected by the evacuation orders.
24:44Many residents find themselves on the street
24:47traumatized by the fire.
24:50We had nearly 900 people looking for shelter.
24:53We make sure that no one faces
24:56the effects of this disaster alone.
24:59We are still at the heart of the situation.
25:02The fires are not extinguished yet.
25:05The new American President Donald Trump
25:08and the incompetent politicians
25:11have no idea how to extinguish them,
25:14he estimated on his social network Trousse Social.
25:17The damage is estimated to be tens of billions
25:20of dollars and could be the most expensive
25:23ever known in the United States.
25:26The governor of the state, Gavin Newsom,
25:29said on Sunday that he wanted to launch
25:32a Marshall Plan to rebuild California
25:36Ladies and gentlemen,
25:39in cold weather with temperatures
25:42varying between minus eight and nine degrees Celsius
25:45is expected from Tuesday to Friday
25:48in several provinces of the kingdom.
25:51This drop in temperatures will affect
25:54Ifran, Boulmane, Seyfrou and Tarroudant.
25:57The same phenomenon is expected from Gerada to Tata
26:00passing through Tisnit.
26:06And it is on this weather note that this news is coming to an end.
26:09Thank you for following it.
