00:00How did it start, your love for Zumba?
00:02Actually, I learned it in the first place
00:04because they asked for a licensed instructor
00:07and then she encouraged me to become an instructor.
00:09So at first, I wasn't confident
00:11so I had the class in my studio.
00:13I was just attending.
00:14Because you can dance but it's different to have someone with you.
00:17To the right, to the left.
00:18Right? There's that.
00:19As a performer also.
00:21You're used to being the only one performing.
00:23Now, when you are a Zumba instructor and you're licensed,
00:25they teach you how to lead and dance with the people.
00:28Something like that.
00:29And actually connect with people.
00:31Yeah, it's very engaging and I really enjoyed it.
00:34Just as a student and then as an instructor,
00:36I really enjoyed it.
00:37So I was one of the first celebrities
00:40who was licensed to teach it.
00:42So I was able to travel all around the world,
00:44actually, thank God, for Zumba.
00:46And what's nice is people really have fun with you.
00:49They're dancing with you.
00:50So it's not just a show.
00:51They also burn calories,
00:54you know, and they feel so confident.
00:55And you have a bond, right?
00:58Sometimes, especially our moms out there
01:00who are always at home to talk.
01:03Go out, try Zumba.
01:05It's healthy for your health.
01:07Yes, and instead of, let's say,
01:10Bisho or Jasmisan,
01:12or whatever, just Zumba.
01:14Just Zumba.
01:16Did you know that...
01:19In each barangay,
01:21everywhere,
01:22everyone has a Zumba instructor.
01:24And I'm really curious about how to be a Zumba instructor.
01:27We're going to be taught by Mr. Gene.
01:29Mr. Gene, are you ready?
01:30Let's go!
01:31Okay, let's go, Kapitbahay.
01:32Let's go!
01:33Kapitbahay, we're going to start our Zumba session.
01:36We're just about to eat
01:38so we can digest everything.
01:39Okay, I'm ready, Mr. Gene.
01:40How to do that?
01:41So usually, Zumba instructors
01:43give visual cues.
01:45Usually, what people think of
01:47is shouting,
01:48or a lot of choreography.
01:50Actually, when it comes to Zumba fitness,
01:52or dance fitness,
01:53there are visual cues.
01:54So come on, we're going to do two steps to the left.
01:57Two steps.
01:57Ah, like that.
01:58Ah, like that!
01:59Other side.
02:00Two steps left.
02:01Let's do a V-step.
02:03So the teacher will do that.
02:04Like that, Z.
02:05Like that.
02:06If you want to do like a turn.
02:07Ah, turn, like that.
02:09But right now, it's just a sign language.
02:12Yes, easy enough.
02:13So let's try the V-step.
02:15The V-step?
02:16Yes.
02:17We'll do this two times.
02:18Okay.
02:19Let's turn to the side.
02:20Turn to the side.
02:21Turn it back.
02:22Ah, turn back.
02:23Yes.
02:23Wow, okay.
02:24And let's do a sway.
02:26Ah, sway, okay.
02:27Sway.
02:28Yes.
02:28How about bachata step to the left?
02:30Ah, bachata.
