00:00We're on to our next big weather story, and this one's going to hit hard, especially across
00:06the South, where you can see most of our impacts are going to be.
00:10When we bring in winter weather to a few of these areas, they don't necessarily handle
00:15it too well because they don't see it that often, and we are anticipating major travel
00:19disruptions when it comes to the snow, when it comes to the ice, the slick travel.
00:24It's just going to be a mess here over the next few days.
00:27In Nashville, we are anticipating at least a few inches of snow to fall in Music City
00:32and in the city proper.
00:33This starts early Friday, right around 4 a.m. Eastern Time.
00:37It goes through the wee hours, Friday midnight into early Saturday.
00:42This is going to slow things down in Nashville for certain, and this is going to cause concerns
00:49in areas like Atlanta.
00:50We could see over a tenth of an inch of ice.
00:52It doesn't look like much, but it doesn't take a lot of ice to cause hazardous conditions
00:56there out on the roadways, and still, we could see some travel concerns in the sky
01:02because a lot of big metro areas and a lot of big travel hubs are going to be impacted
01:07by this storm, including Dallas, including Atlanta, and including Charlotte.
01:13Now behind this, even after the storm moves out, we are still talking about that risk
01:18of icy travel.
01:19That's because it's still so cold.
01:21That cold is prolonged and it lingers even after the storm, and this is bringing that
01:26risk of re-freezing that includes Dallas, Arlington, where we're monitoring the big
01:32game that's coming up here, 7.30 p.m. Eastern Time kickoff, so after the sun starts to go
01:39down pre-game, you're at 37, you're at the real field temperature sitting at 26, so it's
01:44going to be cold.
01:45A lot of people traveling to this area.
01:47Slick travel ahead, winter storm continues into the east.
