Samsung sees smart home within reach   Samsung Electronics on Jan. 7, 2025 will show off its smart home booth at CES in Las Vegas. The South Korean company has been touting smart home connectivity for years now, referencing its possibility back in 2014. Samsung spokesman Tony Hall said the company was thrilled to be able to showcase the ease with which devices at home can now be interconnected. 03:59Well, SmartThings is the application that has had the biggest advancement.

04:19We're tying in AI into so many different things, tying in different sensors into different

04:23things to make it so it's easier for you to manage your lifestyle.

04:26For instance, you may leave the house but forget to turn the TV off, maybe forget to

04:30turn things like light bulbs on and off.

04:33You're going to be able to utilize different sensors that are already built into our devices

04:37and AI will recognize you being away means that we can turn the smart, bespoke AI robot

04:45vacuum on and clean while you're gone.

04:48That's really cool, right?

04:49And then being able to turn things on and off, saving time, saving energy and allowing

04:53you just to live your life and letting your smart home to take care of things for you

04:57and automate a ton of that experience.

05:24The smart home is not necessarily new, but we want to make it easier than ever to go

05:30ahead and purchase that device or that set of devices and have it instantly turn into

05:36end results and benefits for that end user and take away all of the friction that used

05:42to be there with setting up the device, making sure it's secure, making sure it's actually

05:46going to work, taking care of all of those different speed bumps and just letting the

05:51customer get to what they bought that device for, getting to that end result as quickly as possible.
