CVisayas police reaffirm commitment to stay impartial during May midterm polls  Police Regional Office Central Visayas (PRO 7) spokesman, Colonel Arvie Aserre Paraon-Bueno, reiterates the police force’s firm commitment to remaining apolitical and impartial during the May 2025 midterm elections. She said police personnel were required to declare any family ties to candidates, ensuring they would be reassigned to prevent any conflict of interest. Paraon-Bueno emphasized that this policy was part of PRO 7’s broader efforts to maintain the credibility and fairness of the electoral process. She said the reassigned officers would be allowed to return to their original posts after the elections. 02:44sa region 7 in particular, we really have to police our own ranks din.

02:50Yung pangangarap natin ng isang paayos na lipunan, kung saan na-enforce lahat ng batas,

02:58hindi po accepted doon yung mga kapulisan.

03:01So, we are policing our own ranks.

03:04Tapos, si regional director ko, through the support ng staff,

03:08we wanted to ensure na ang mga magiging-inginpagbayad po,

03:12yung mga law enforcers po sa region 7 would live up to the highest standards po

03:17ng morality and good conduct.

03:19Kasi, we owe it po sa mga tao na dapat ganun po yung kapulisan ninyo.

03:26Sabi ko nga po, kung yung police, without judging po, anybody involved,

03:32kapag yung violence or yung paglabag sa batas,

03:35galing siya sa law enforcer, that would be the cruelest form of violence.

03:39So, we wanted to do something about it po.

03:44We have to ensure that in performing the sacred duty to protect and serve the community,

03:50well-suited po at nararaban po yung mga kapulisan para po magigingkod sa mga komunidad.
