00:00Good morning. Icy conditions again out there for some this morning. We've had a
00:04further covering of snow in places. Do hit subscribe if you haven't done
00:08already. If you're watching on YouTube the Met Office warnings of course on our
00:11app and our website and there are flood warnings still in place also. Let's take
00:16a look at what's going on with the weather. As I said we've had further snow
00:19through the night across northern Scotland and parts of Northern Ireland,
00:22Wales and southwest England. Still have wintry showers coming in here. Mix of
00:26rain, sleet and snow. Whatever flavor of shower you have could turn things icy as
00:31temperatures are at or below freezing in many locations. So a cold day to come. The
00:37showers will tend to ease a little bit across South Wales, southwest England.
00:40Some continuing over North Wales into northwest England. Chiefly of rain at low
00:45levels and along the coast but some snow possible over hills. That mixture of rain
00:49sleet and snow showers for Northern Ireland. Mostly snow in the showers
00:53across northern Scotland where the wind continues to blow. For much of southern
00:58southeastern Scotland. Much of eastern England, southern England. Dry, fine and
01:02sunny through the day but it is still going to be cold. The winds though are
01:05lighter for most places compared to yesterday. So perhaps not feeling quite
01:09as cold. Three or four degrees for most. Maybe six, seven or eight across the far
01:14south but certainly feeling cold in that wind across northern Scotland which
01:17continues to feed the wintry showers in here. So again could welter an icy
01:22overnight. Some showers continuing in Northern Ireland. Again a mix of sleet
01:26and snow likely here. So again possibly icy. The showers should fade over North
01:30Wales and northwest England. But wherever we've had showers through the day today
01:33as those temperatures tumble, as we see another hard frost, it could be icy
01:38through Tuesday night and into tomorrow morning. Notice though down to the south
01:43clouds starting to increase a little bit. That is signs of a change. Temperatures
01:48though widely minus 2, minus 3. Shelter Glens of Scotland could get down to minus
01:53double digits. Down to the southwest though things are starting to change and
01:58this is something we need to keep a close eye on. Low pressure out in the
02:02Atlantic throwing these weather fronts northwards and bringing the milder air
02:06but also bringing the moisture. And as the moisture hits the cold air we are
02:11going to see some snowfall. The big question mark just how far north these
02:15weather fronts get. Far from certain at this stage but it could start to move
02:21into southern parts of England. That is why we have a snow warning in place for
02:26Wednesday. But it isn't a guarantee. Far from it. This whole set of weather's
02:30fronts could be a bit further north. It could be further south in which case
02:33we'd hardly see any snow across the south. So it isn't a guarantee. It's just
02:37something we're keeping an eye on. This is for tomorrow as we see this wet
02:42weather shifting northwards. Probably along the coast it'll be rain but we'll
02:46have to come too far inland before we start to see some snow on Wednesday. But
02:51as I said uncertainty about how far north this weather system gets. So keep
02:55up to date with the forecast. For the majority Wednesday's are dry, fine and
02:59day of winter sunshine. But with lighter winds temperatures are still going to
03:05struggle. 3, 4 degrees maybe a little higher in the south. It depends if those
03:09weather systems do bring that milder air. But cold and bright for most places
03:13still some wintry showers across the north. Do keep up to date if you live in
03:17the south because as I said there could be some snow on Wednesday. But quite a
03:23bit of uncertainty at this stage. So do stay up to date with the forecast. Best
03:27way to do that if you're watching on YouTube is to hit subscribe.
