00:00More than 40,000 were chosen to celebrate Luneta's New Year.

00:09From Santa Maria, Bulacan,

00:11Bernadette's family went early to Luneta Park

00:14to celebrate Luneta's New Year.

00:17Her sister's family is also there.

00:19This is the first time they visited the park

00:23after more than 7 years.

00:26This is the place we chose.

00:28We feel so happy when we come here.

00:30We feel so happy to be here with Luneta.

00:34The Campus family, who came back from Canada,

00:37also came to Luneta to celebrate Luneta's New Year.

00:41They were also able to visit the famous shrine

00:44after 16 years.

00:47Aside from visiting the shrine,

00:48this is also a good opportunity

00:50to write the children's rich history of the Philippines.

00:54I want to show my children

00:56the beauty of Manila, of Luneta,

00:59and where Dr. Jose Rizal started.

01:02To spend more time with them,

01:04have more bonding time with them,

01:06and get to know each other even more.

01:08The bonding of Filipinos is really different.

01:10It's different when you're in your own country.

01:13On the day of Luneta's inauguration,

01:16almost 40,000 people

01:18went to the countdown

01:20to celebrate Luneta's New Year.

01:23Far more than 100,000 people were expected.

01:27Almost 100,000 people visited the park that day.

01:32Due to inclement weather,

01:34the maximum number of visitors was 39,000

01:38as of 1 a.m. on January 1.

01:41Some of the people who will visit Luneta Park

01:44will enjoy the musical dancing fountain

01:46that starts from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

01:51There are also food stalls and toy shops inside the park.

01:54The visitors were reminded

01:57to maintain the cleanliness of the surroundings

02:00and always leave the playground clean as you go.

02:04No untoward incidents were recorded,

02:07except for the 11 children who were not there yesterday,

02:10who were immediately found and returned to their families.
