00:00PNP and the Philippine National Police are not only guarding certain areas during this Christmas season but also the residential areas that are also targeted by those with bad intentions,

00:14especially those houses that have no owners.

00:17Ryan Lasigue is in the center of the news.

00:21To ensure a peaceful Christmas and new year, PNP deployed 37,000 policemen from all over the country for security.

00:33However, PNP Public Information Office Chief, Police Brigadier General Gene Fajardo said that there is no danger that the Philippine National Police is monitoring for the upcoming long vacation,

00:45aside from certain areas.

00:47PNP also has a deployment in barangays to patrol subdivisions and high-rise buildings.

00:54PNP is reminding the public to be careful in certain areas that are often targeted by those with bad intentions.

01:02Effectively, on December 15, we already had a heightened alert and our police leave was also canceled,

01:09except of course, for emergencies in nature, it is allowed.

01:14For those who will travel by public vehicle,

01:17go to the terminals early to avoid traffic jams.

01:21Also, monitor the luggage so that it won't be stolen by the temporary occupants.

01:27Also, avoid wearing expensive earrings and displaying expensive gadgets while in a certain area.

01:35For those who have their own vehicle,

01:37condition the vehicle or check the blow baguettes and prepare yourself before a long trip.

01:44PNP also advises travelers to apologize for the heavy traffic on the roads.

01:52For those who will go on vacation, avoid posting on social media at the moment

01:57so that cybercriminals won't know that there are no people in your homes.
