00:00As the country celebrates Philippine Veterans Week this week,
00:04there are activities held by the Philippine Veterans Affairs Office, or PVAO, for veterans.
00:10According to the PVAO Deputy Administrator for Operations, Assistant Secretary Domingo Carbonell Jr.,
00:17tomorrow, the celebration of the Day of Smiling at Mount Sama and Bataan was held.
00:23It was led by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
00:26There will also be a celebration of the Day of Smiling at Mount Sama and Bataan for all Philippine veterans
00:31as a tribute to Bataan Death March in Kapastarlaka.
00:34Meanwhile, the veterans received P20,000 pension and P5,000 from PVAO.
00:44If we continue to respect and love our veterans,
00:51in their last days in our country,
00:57we show that their sacrifice to the government, to the people,
01:05and to the loved ones of the country,
01:09that they fought for our freedom,
01:12we want to cherish it until the next generation.
