00:08we hope that the students will also benefit

00:11by giving them the opportunity to do on-the-job training in the station.

00:20Good afternoon, Joshua.

00:22Everything is ready for the inauguration of PTV Ilocos Norte Relay Station

00:27which will be held later this afternoon here in Batac, Ilocos Norte.

00:33PTV General Manager Antonio Nebrida is expecting to bring the ceremony

00:38with the CHED Commissioner Dr. Shirley Castaneda-Grupis,

00:42Mariano Marcos State University Dr. Prima Fefranco,

00:46and several local officials of Ilocos Norte.

00:49The project is in accordance with the 2022 Memorandum of Agreement of PTV and MMSU.

00:55Aside from the opportunity of MMSU students,

00:58the scope of the state and network will be expanded.

01:02A 250-feet tower was built in a 500-square-meter lot

01:06provided by the MMSU campus.

01:08What's also important is that we are energizing our Ilocos Norte station.

01:18We will be able to transmit and broadcast our signal from our home station in Metro Manila

01:27to a very, very large part of Ilocos Norte and parts of Ilocos Sur and Abra.

01:34This station will be of great benefit to the students of Electronic Communication Engineering of MMSU.

01:41We all know that PTV has many branches in Baguio and Manila.

01:46Now that we have a PTV, it would allow us, the students,

01:50which offers us an OJT or under-job training near our home,

01:58and it would lessen the burdens of looking for a dorm near to us to go with.

02:09PTV gives significant role to us, the students,

02:15that allows us the different aspects such as signal processing, transmission technologies,

02:23and it would allow us also to be more with professionals

02:28that would help us with our knowledge into our field.

02:30As I said, in the future, the employment will be easier for us as students

02:35as we are going to be graduates soon, hopefully,

02:39and it will not be that hard for us to find our first job

02:45and land into a job that is actually aligned with our course

02:50and help us more foster our skills and develop our technical aspects.

02:57Aside from the fact that PTV is closer to Ilocos Norte,

03:01the OJT coordinator of Electronic Communication Engineering believes

03:05in the benefits it will give to the students.

03:08I believe in the capacity of PTV

03:12that it will give them the right experience when it comes to PTV.
