00:00President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is taking no chances and is thoroughly scrutinizing the 2025 national budget as it is to be funded by taxpayers' money.
00:12Although the signing of the General Appropriations Bill will be deferred, the executive or the president assured this very important measure will be signed before the year ends.

00:30President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. convened Executive Secretary Lucas Bersanin and his economic team this morning to review the proposed 2025 national budget.
00:40The meeting, attended by representatives from the Department of Finance, Department of Budget and Management, National Economic and Development Authority, and Department of Public Works and Highways, focused on ensuring that government funds are allocated to priority programs and projects.
00:56President Marcos Jr. emphasized the importance of carefully evaluating the proposed budget to address the country's most critical needs.
01:04Last Friday, the Office of the President received a list of proposed funds and expenditures for 2025.
01:11The president remains optimistic that the budget will be signed into law before the end of 2024.
01:17Presidential Communications Secretary Cesar Chavez clarified,
01:20A re-enacted budget happens when approval of the national budget failed, leading to adopt the previous year's General Appropriations Act.
