00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. approved the release of higher gratuity pay as government's Christmas gift to contract of service, or COS, or job order, or J.O. personnel.
00:10From the previous 5,000 pesos, the chief executive gave the green light to bump it up to 7,000 pesos for those who have been working as either COS or J.O. for government for at least four months.
00:22By virtue of Executive Order No. 28 released by the palace and signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin,
00:29even those who have only been serving for just three months can receive 6,000 pesos for their gratuity pay.
00:35For their part, the Department of Budget and Management thanked the leader of the land for making the higher gratuity pay for COS and J.O. workers possible.
00:43The DBM says this would be a big help to workers, especially since the country has been hit by successive calamities of late.
00:51To show their gratitude, all COS and J.O. workers will continue to perform their roles well, as indeed they contribute immensely to the work that is needed in government service for the welfare of all Filipinos.
