00:00National Security Council Assistant Director General Jonathan Malaya announced that President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. will not dissolve the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict or NTF-ELCA.
00:15This is in line with the call of Gabriela Partylist Representative Arlene Brosas to remove the NTF-ELCA.
00:23According to Malaya, President Marcos ordered them to continue the good start of the fight against terrorism.
00:30She also emphasized that the forces of the left-wing groups have weakened due to the death of some leaders of the Communist Party of the Philippines, New People's Army or CPP-NPA, and the continuation of the Localized Peace Engagement.
00:46As of now, more than 1,000 members of the left-wing groups are living in several places in the country and a guerrilla front.
00:55But Malaya assured that they will be able to give up this this year.
01:00The Barangay Development Program is also looking for the barangays that were once held by the rebels.
01:08Meanwhile, Malaya assured that the NPAs will not be able to disturb the upcoming elections in May.
