01:09The complaint was supported by House Assistant Minority Leader Gabriel Bordado and Deputy
01:14Minority Leader Lex Collada.
01:16The complainants accuse Duterte of betraying public trust and violating the Constitution.
01:20They call for her removal from office as both a constitutional and moral obligation.
01:25The complainants include Father Antonio Labiao Jr., a convener of the group Clergy for Good
01:30Governance.
01:31Another is Father Daniel Franklin Dani Pilario, a Cebuano theologian who opposed drug war
01:36killings.
01:37Others are leaders from four NGOs and members of the Union of People's Lawyers in Mindanao.
01:42The latest impeachment effort focuses on allegations of mishandling the P125 million confidential
01:47funds allocated to the OVP in 2022 and the Department of Education's P112.5 million
01:53pesos in 2023.
01:55They argue that Duterte committed plunder by misappropriating public funds and failing
01:58to account for confidential expenditures.
02:02The House of Representatives recommends filing charges of crimes against humanity against
02:06former President Rodrigo Duterte over drug war killings.
02:10After months of hearings by the House Quad Committee, it concludes, Duterte, his allies
02:14and co-conspirators should be made accountable.
02:16Quad Committee Chairperson Ace Barber says witness testimonies corroborated by evidence
02:21revealed a system that incentivized the killing of suspected drug personalities.
02:25International humanitarian law defines other crimes against humanity as any of the following
02:30acts when committed as part of a widespread or systematic attack directed against any
02:34civilian population with knowledge of the attack.
02:37That includes willful killing.
02:39Besides these, the Quad Committee says Duterte, Garma, and Leonardo should be charged for
02:43being co-conspirators in the murder of three Chinese businessmen inside the Davao penal
02:48colony in 2016.
02:50Meantime, the committee also recommends a deeper investigation into the alleged drug
02:53ties of Davao City 1st District Representative Paulo Duterte and his associates.
02:58It cites personalities implicated in the illegal drug trade based on statements from resource
03:02persons Jimmy Guban and Mark Taguba.

03:25Microsoft, Alphabet or Google, and Samsung Electronics are the world's top three employers

03:31Forbes partnered with market research firm Statista to survey over 300,000 employees
03:35in 50 countries who work for multinational corporations.
03:39Respondents were asked to rate the companies on criteria such as salary, talent development,
03:43and remote work options.
03:45They were also asked to rate firms based on industry knowledge.
03:49Theater director and producer Bobby Garcia died Tuesday, December 17.
03:53He was 55.
03:55His friend TV host Boya Bunda reported it on Wednesday, December 18.
03:59Garcia was in Vancouver, Canada when he passed away.
04:02Garcia has 50 plays and musicals under his belt in Canada and Asia including China, Singapore,
04:07and the Philippines.
04:08Several of his productions garnered nominations for the Tony, Drama League, and Outer Critics
04:12Circle Awards.
04:14Here Lies Love, which he co-produced, earned four Tony Award nominations.
04:18Most recently, he directed Requesta Radio, starring Lea Salonga and Dolly DeLeon.
04:23His other productions include Sweeney Todd, Beautiful, The Carole King Musical, Saturday
04:27Night Fever, The King and I, and Disney's The Little Mermaid.
04:30He founded Atlantis Productions, which became the Atlantis Theatrical Group of Companies

04:38A Rio de Janeiro judge orders the global removal of Adele's 2015 song Million Years Ago following
04:43a plagiarism claim by Brazilian musician Tonino Guerraes.
04:47Guerraes, whose song Mujeres became a hit in Brazil in the 1990s, accuses Adele of copying
04:52his work.
04:53His lawyers posted a YouTube video comparing the two songs.
04:57Universal Music is fighting on appeal while Guerraes' lawyer praised the decision, emphasizing
05:01that Brazilian artists' rights would be protected.
05:04The decision orders Sony Music Entertainment and Universal Music to stop using, reproducing,
05:08editing, distributing, or commercializing the song on any streaming or sharing platforms
05:13without Guerraes' consent.
05:15The companies will be fined the equivalent of around $8,000 if they fail to comply.
05:19Guerraes' lawyers are also notifying platforms like Spotify and Deezer to remove the songs
05:24worldwide.
05:25In its appeal of the decision, Universal Music said the similarities were accidental.
05:29Guerraes seeks over $150,000 in compensation and has attempted to terminate his contract
05:34with Universal over the issue.
