00:00In fencing, after defending his gold medal in the Southeast Asian Fencing Championships,

00:06a bigger challenge is waiting for the Filipino fencer, Junior, in 2025

00:12because he is preparing for the 33rd Southeast Asian Games in Thailand.

00:17Here is my report.

00:21The Philippine National Fencing Team won their 2024 season

00:26by winning 15 medals in the Southeast Asian Fencing Championships in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

00:33One of the winners in the national tournament is the veteran fencer Sinowelito Jose Junior,

00:40who won his gold medal in the Men's EPA, which he added a gold medal for the team event.

00:49According to Jose, they will drive the momentum in the Southeast Asian Fencing Championships,

00:55especially that they want to recover from the 2025 Southeast Asian Games in Thailand.

01:01We will really prepare for the next year's SEA Games.

01:04I think we have two training camps abroad, a full team, to get more gold.

01:13Because last time we didn't have gold in the SEA Games.

01:15Last year we didn't have gold.

01:17So we need to perform better in the next Southeast Asian Games in Thailand.

01:23Even though the holiday season is coming, the 27-year-old national team athlete will not stop his efforts.

01:31Aside from the SEA Games and World Cup, he still has the dream of playing in the Olympics.

01:38Of course, that is my ultimate goal right now.

01:43Because I didn't make it to 2024.

01:45I really plan to return this week.

01:48I will also train on my strength and conditioning.

01:52Even though we don't have fencing training yet, I will focus on strengthening my body.

01:55Because you can't stop.

01:57Before the bi-annual meet, the next year's competition will be the Qatar Grand Prix,

02:03which will be held from January 25 to 26.
