00:00Well, if it's between a rock and a hard place, my money's on the hard place.
00:04Here's a look at Mattel He-Man in the Master Universe, Ram Man, heroic human battering
00:08Ram.
00:23It's an exciting time to be a Master Universe fan.
00:26For long-time fans and for a new generation of kids who love the action and adventure,
00:30it's time to experience the thrilling action and adventure of He-Man, Skeletor, The Secrets
00:34of Castle Grayskull, and much more.
00:36The figures in this collection stand 5.5 inches tall and have 16 movable joints, so they're
00:41highly poseable for imaginative and action-oriented fun.
00:44I can only imagine the kinds of headaches that Hard Head has here.
00:48For more ages, how about we take the tape measure and see how tall the cartoon collection
00:52Ram Man stands.
00:53This one's a little bit more personal to me, because Ram Man was the very first Master
00:56Universe figure I had as a kid.
00:58To see him now as a cartoon collection release is pretty cool.
01:02Ram Man, though, is going to stand at about 5 and 3 quarters of an inch in height.
01:06That translates, though, to a figure that's 14 centimeters tall.
01:09All right, finally some good guys who've been outnumbered by bad guys far too long.
01:13First here's what the figure looks like with He-Man.
01:15Now Ram Man comes in clue with the Shikoti Idol that comes from the episode House of
01:19Shikoti.
01:20This happens to be the same episode that also has Prince Adam and Orko.
01:23We don't have a cartoon collection of Orko, but we do have a cartoon collection of Prince
01:26Adam, finally.
01:27Now, Prince Adam also came in clue, of course, with Cringer, so we can bring him in as well.
01:31Bring in some of the other cartoon collection figures.
01:33There's Man-at-Arms, here's Stratos, and here's also, as well, Teela.
01:39Even though, really, he's not technically a good guy.
01:41I mean, no one would ever confuse, I feel, Mantenna here for a good guy.
01:45He was, though, part of this wave, so I'm going to bring him in also as well.
01:48Now, we also can bring in the Master Universe Origins version of Ram Man.
01:52And something, though, that we weren't able to do with Mantenna before.
01:55Here's also what he looks like with a new Eternia version of Ram Man, too.
01:58Breaking them out, Ram Man has the following accessories.
02:00Not that I would consider this necessarily an accessory or really a good use of paper,
02:04but the figure comes in clue with a pamphlet to tell you that you can divorce his arms
02:08from his torso, you can remove his head, you can detach his lower half of his body, and
02:11you can yank off his boots.
02:13So, only make mention of this.
02:15Make mention of this.
02:16Whew!
02:17Off it goes.
02:18The figure also comes in clue with a mini-comic.
02:19It so happens to be the same mini-comic shared as well with Mantenna.
02:22Well, not sharing it.
02:23They share the same images, but they're not sharing the exact comic.
02:26That would imply that one comic has to then be going to Mantenna.
02:30When Mantenna's finished looking through it, like Radioactive Man number one, has to then
02:33give it to Milhouse.
02:34No.
02:35You get two of the exact same comic, Horde Invasion.
02:38Also, both advertise, obviously, the other figures on the back, She-Ra, Ram Man, and
02:43Mantenna.
02:44We've already had a look at.
02:45Evil spy with the pop-out eyes.
02:47Love it.
02:49As for the actual interior of the comic, I'm not going to spoil it.
02:52Don't be...
02:53I'm not going to be the one that spills the beans.
02:54I try not to spill the beans.
02:56If I'm going to spill beans on anything, it's toast.
02:58Beans on toast?
02:59Yum, yum, yum.
03:00But I'm not going to be giving away anything for the interior of this comic.
03:04If you want to read this for yourself, feel free to do that.
03:06There's some, of course, advertisements for the Snake Men inside.
03:09There's Swiftwind and some of She-Ra's friends there as well.
03:13But again, a nice little comic.
03:14Again, we're probably going to be getting that.
03:16I know we're going to be getting it again.
03:17Not shared with She-Ra.
03:18She-Ra's going to get her own comic.
03:20And then it doesn't have to go, of course, to Martin.
03:22Can't stand Martin.
03:24What I can stand, though, is the figure does come included with the idol of Shikoti.
03:28Shikoti actually was a two-part episode.
03:31And kind of like they go to a temporal, a pyramid, with, I guess, Eternia's archaeologist.
03:38Does he even really have a name?
03:40He should have come up with a more clever name than, I'm just literally Eternia's archaeologist.
03:44Like, I don't know, Diggy's...
03:47I don't know.
03:48I've got nothing.
03:49I was trying to come up with something witty.
03:50If you can think of something that would be fun to call an archaeologist for Eternia,
03:54let me know down below in the comments section.
03:55Best answer will get, I don't know, a virtual star.
03:58Virtual star maybe should be given as well to the idol of Shikoti.
04:00Now, Shikoti actually was a rather interesting character in that cartoon.
04:05One of the other fun characters that happened to appear in that episode as well is Mask.
04:09Now, I think we did get Mask.
04:10I know for certain we got ourselves Shikoti from Maddie Collector.
04:14I don't know what's the likelihood that Mattel is going to be doing that for the cartoon
04:17collection, but I hope that we get a Shikoti and I hope we get a Mask.
04:20Mask happens to remove his face.
04:21Orko looks at the Mask at one point, kind of gets knocked out.
04:23Mask.
04:24Got to look it up.
04:25It's a pretty cool character.
04:26I think the actual idol is pretty cool.
04:28It's made of pretty soft rubber, though.
04:30The thing, unfortunately, about that, though, is it's not really intended to be held by
04:34anybody.
04:35It's literally something that we found on the wall.
04:37Like, in fact, we actually see an idol of Shikoti on the front of the door that He-Man
04:41slices through.
04:42But I don't really know what I'm going to be doing with this now that I have it.
04:45I mean, I suppose there are some suggested areas that if I had a nail on the wall, for
04:49example, I could probably hang it by, I don't know, what little remnants we have of little
04:53ledges on the inside of this.
04:55But this, if anything, should be hung on the wall.
04:57I don't think it's something I'm just going to be displaying alongside Ram-Man.
05:00Just seems so really out of place.
05:01Let's move that off to the side, though.
05:04That's really the only accessories, unfortunately, that come included with Ram-Man.
05:06Now, Ram-Man is pretty interesting.
05:08I like the look of him a lot.
05:10I only have really one problem with the figure.
05:12I'm not going to block everybody by my blasted finger in the front of everything.
05:16No spilling beans here.
05:17Unfortunately, though, his shoulders are very easy to remove.
05:20You can see right now, I mean, it took little to no effort at all to actually take the shoulder
05:25pads off his body altogether.
05:28They fall off way too frequently.
05:29I mean, a lot of times when you also move the head, too, like the head freely moves
05:33inside the shoulders.
05:34But the moment you want to start moving anything else, you just feel like you're sliding the
05:38shoulders off.
05:40Had there only been a place on the back, maybe with a peg, that could have plugged onto the
05:43back of his torso, just to keep from the shoulders from actually moving, even if they shifted
05:48around on the front, I would know at least they weren't going to be leaving the house
05:51and walking down the street.
05:53The actual shoulder pads, if I don't drop them, are made of a decent amount of plastic.
05:57You can see there's a little bit of marbling there as well.
06:00The marbling is nowhere near what I would expect it to be for the fact that they were
06:03using a kind of pearl silver plastic like this.
06:06Of course, he's got the chains down below as well.
06:08It matches that of his bracelets, the belt that he has on the front, and of course his
06:11helmet too.
06:12I guess maybe while we have this off, one thing that gives me at least the chance to
06:15show you guys is what his head looks like up close and personal.
06:18Now, you can't remove his helmet.
06:20You can't really remove the helmet either from the original vintage toy, nor could you do
06:23that as well with the Origins.
06:25The Origins technically did have, I'm just going to bring him back here for a second,
06:28two swappable heads.
06:30I don't know what it is.
06:31Even though I loved Rayman as a kid, he was my favorite character just because he was
06:34the first He-Man figure I had in my collection.
06:36I don't know.
06:37There's just something very underwhelming about the Origins.
06:39I may have even said that in the review of him.
06:40Yes, he does have swappable heads, so if you don't like the look of Rayman here, you can
06:44just pop the head off and replace it with another one.
06:46But I feel like the cartoon collection at least gives us a better looking Rayman.
06:50If you're not collecting the cartoon stuff, unfortunately, you're going to be missing
06:52out on that.
06:54I guess one thing you also would be missing out on, a segue for that, is if you were to
06:57take off the shoulder pads.
06:59Just put them back on here for a second.
07:02One thing that you can see, though, by removing them, you can see there's a lot more sculpting
07:05going on to his torso.
07:07He's also got their ties on the front of his tunic, nice little belt down there below as
07:10well.
07:11The belt doesn't look like there's a way to remove it.
07:14It looks like they've actually sculpted it to the lower half of his skirting.
07:17My guess is they probably just slid this up, and I bet you, yeah, you'd be able to just
07:22slide this off completely if you want to.
07:24The colors are pretty close.
07:25You may notice, though, that the skirting is just a little bit brighter than the actual
07:28top of his torso.
07:29But, I mean, half the time anyways, you're probably just going to be covering it anyways
07:32with his shoulders.
07:33And, again, the shoulders, I don't feel like they ever feel fully committed to the idea
07:38of wanting to be part of this figure.
07:40Again, the head sculpt looks really good on him.
07:43I think more so in the cartoon, he's generally more of a darker gray than the shinier plastic
07:48color that we get here.
07:49But, for the most part, he looks a lot like Rayman.
07:52Rayman's in very few episodes of the Masked Universe.
07:54That kind of goes with the territory.
07:56Unless you're Man-at-Arms and Teal, you get top billing, pretty much all the other
07:59masters get sprinkled around in one or two appearances.
08:02But I mean, of course, with Rayman, one of the notable things is the fact that his legs
08:05do spring.
08:06Luckily, though, none of the rubber appliance pieces go over top of this one.
08:10The same, unfortunately, can't be said for the new Eternia Rayman, which, of course,
08:13added the rubber overlays over top of his body.
08:16I know eventually this is just going to split.
08:17It bothers me every time I see this figure.
08:19But, yeah, this Rayman isn't going to have that at all.
08:22He does, though, manage still to pull off knee articulation.
08:24Although, with the knee articulation, I noticed on my figure, it's just really, really tight.
08:29Speaking for the articulation on the figure, obviously, the head can rotate back and forth.
08:33I mean, while he's self-contained inside the shoulders like this, the head can freely move
08:38the way it wants.
08:39It can go up, it can go down, you can also rotate it back and forth.
08:41I think, generally, though, in the cartoon, the helmet usually is over top of his shoulders.
08:46But it's not something you can pull off.
08:48If you go to pull off his head, like that, and then you want to put the shoulders on
08:52first.
08:53Because this was my initial thought.
08:54I thought, okay, well, if the shoulders are moving around way too much, what if I took
08:59the head and I put it over top?
09:01But it doesn't seem to quite clear it.
09:02You can see there's too much of a space between the ball joint and the peg joint.
09:06And I think, if anything, I would end up probably buckling the plastic for the tops of his shoulders.
09:11So if you have a similar idea of actually wanting to put the helmet over top, you can't.
09:14There's not enough space for that.
09:16So we'll just pop this back in place.
09:18And we'll pop, of course, the shoulders back in place.
09:21So yeah, his head moves quite freely.
09:23As for his arms, they come out at 90 degrees.
09:25You could, for the most part, rotate them all the way around.
09:27But again, here's where the problem that you're going to be facing.
09:30When you do rotate his arms, it sort of then forces the shoulder pads off his body altogether.
09:35He does have a bend in the elbow.
09:37The same elbow also, that bend in the elbow, also allows the forearm to rotate back and
09:41forth.
09:42The hands also rotate all the way around.
09:43You can also hinge them back and forth this way.
09:45Just pop the shoulders back in place.
09:48Swivel in the waist.
09:49Legs split out.
09:51You can see there's ball joints in there.
09:52It's a little bit of a swivel at the top of the thigh.
09:54Again, I would normally be able to say there's a bend at the knee, but the knee is just a
09:57very difficult thing to bend.
09:59You can see there's the hinge joint on the back.
10:01For all intents and purposes, this should be able to bend freely, and yet it's super
10:04tight on my figure.
10:05I guess that's not a bad thing.
10:07I mean, I'm not planning necessarily to get this guy in running poses.
10:10For his boots, though, they are separate, though, from the rest of his legs.
10:12So you can rotate those all the way around.
10:14There is an ankle rocker.
10:16There's also a hinge up and down for the ankles.
10:18So, again, he has all the articulation where it counts.
10:21If anything can be said for, though, Ram Man, while, though he looks great, he's not the
10:25most practical in the way they've assembled his shoulders.
10:28I mean, again, like with the other examples of Ram Man, let's just get this guy completely
10:32straight.
10:33For the example, though, of the new Eternia, even though I hate the legs on him, I mean,
10:36again, he never had any issues, really, with his shoulders moving around, nor really was
10:41the case when we looked at the Origins version.
10:42I mean, Origins, I mean, those shoulder pads aren't going anywhere.
10:45They're permanently attached to his body.
10:47I mean, yes, it does limit a lot more articulation with what you can actually do with his head,
10:51but at least I knew that the shoulders for Ram Man aren't going to start wandering off
10:54on their own.
10:55Ram Man looks good.
10:56I mean, like, again, he's a welcomed addition.
10:58Never would I be looking at these and thinking to myself, well, they're just filler figures.
11:01Ram Man is never a filler figure, even though, technically, he's a filler character.
11:04I mean, other than House of Shikoti 1 and 2, he's only appeared, I think, in what, three
11:09episodes, four episodes?
11:10Somebody, I'm sure, can correct me down below in the comments section, but, you know, again,
11:13the fact that we have more masters, especially, like, good guys, that's few and far between
11:18up to this point, really.
11:19I mean, we'd be getting more bad guys than anything else.
11:21Of course, we will be able to add, as well, the other figure that's part of this wave,
11:25which happens to be, of course, She-Ra.
11:27She-Ra is also going to be the first figure of the, I guess, the Rebellion part of the
11:31She-Ra cartoon.
11:32I'm looking forward to getting that one also opened up, as well.
11:34For the accessory, though, again, going back to the Shikoti Idol, I keep dropping this.
11:39It looks good, but, I mean, it doesn't have any practical purpose.
11:42Short of, maybe, just finding a way to suspend this or hang this on the wall, I mean, I'd
11:47rather a Shikoti figure, to be all honest, and short of the one that we did get from
11:50Maddie Collector, I don't know what likelihood that Mattel, in this instance, will release
11:54a cartoon collection of Shikoti.
11:56I hope that they do.
11:57I hope they also release a cartoon version of Mask.
11:59I kind of feel bad now that I downplayed the Eternian Archaeologist, whose name, by the
12:03way, was Melektha, and Melektha, like Ram Man, only appeared in a small number of episodes,
12:08but unlike Ram Man, I don't think Melektha has ever been given a figure.
12:12Shikoti has, part of the Maddie Collector, and while we don't have yet one of a Shikoti
12:16for a cartoon collection, we have at least the Shikoti Idol.
12:19The problem with the Idol, though, is that there's no real place to store it with the
12:22figure.
12:23It's not like Ram Man can hold the Idol, so I'm sort of just relegated to either have
12:26it leaning against something, or the other idea, I was kind of thinking about, any character
12:31accessories that aren't going to be held by those figures, I might just end up putting
12:34at the bottom basement of Snake Mountain, sort of like the treasure that Skeletor has
12:39stolen.
12:40It just doesn't end up being the place where the Shikoti Idol ends up being, until at least
12:43I have a decision down the road to have it displayed behind the figures, which I guess
12:47probably could just be suspended with only a nail, or maybe a little bit of tack on the
12:51back of your wall.
12:53Ram Man, though, is a fine looking figure, fine short of maybe just one problem with
12:57the shoulders.
12:58The shoulder pads are so easily able to come off of him, I wish there was a better way
13:01to plug that onto the back of his body.
13:03He doesn't have necessarily straps that armor normally would have had, but I think in a
13:07case like this, can we all agree that Ram Man should never really have his shoulders
13:11be removed, and unless they have plans to use the body, I mean, the body could be easily
13:15tooled again for something else down the road.
13:18The shoulders, I feel, if anything, should have been plugged onto the back of his body,
13:21or just permanently adhered, because the only problem you're going to be facing is the problem
13:25that you're going to be facing every single time you move the figure's arms.
13:28Those shoulders want to fall off the figure's body.
13:32Short of that, though, again, I really like the look of Ram Man, and again, being a personal
13:35soft spot for Ram Man, sounds strange.
13:39One of my first figures, if not the first figure that I got of Master Universe back
13:43when I was a kid, to finally get a cartoon collection of him is going to go rather nicely
13:46with all the cartoon collection figures that I've been collecting thus far.
13:49What do you guys think of the figure?
13:51Let me know down below in the comments section, and how do you also feel when it comes to
13:54accessories that include these cartoon collections?
13:56Should they already be figure accessories that can be held by a figure, i.e. like a
14:00weapon, a jewel, something along those lines, or do you kind of like the idea that they're
14:04branching off and doing other things as well?
14:06Have you ever seen the House of Shikoti?
14:08Let me know also down below in the comments section, and would you also be down with the
14:11idea of getting a Shikoti, or for that matter, a mask figure?
14:15Once again, if you guys did enjoy this video, do it a salt, throw it a like.
14:18You guys want to stick around for more, so I hope so.
14:20I hope so.
14:21Hit that subscribe, yes.
14:22Turn on that bell, sure.
14:23But of course, the most important thing is that you're coming back.
14:26As always, thanks for watching.
14:28See you guys next time.
