00:00 The Skegness Standard is proud to once again support community groups in our area in delivering
00:08 free festive meals for the elderly and those who may be lonely at what can be a difficult
00:14 time of the year.
00:17 This year's Christmas community meals take place on Wednesday, December 20th at the Storehouse
00:22 in Skegness and Wainfleet Methodist Church.
00:26 Plans are going really well, we're getting a lot of support.
00:30 We have approximately 80 people coming for Christmas dinner, of which we're serving
00:35 three courses and obviously most of the food is provided by Bethlehem Foods from Norfolk.
00:43 Staples are sending us some vegetables and we have sponsorship money coming in.
00:49 So it's looking like a great event, it's a whole church family that serve and people
00:56 from the community come and help serve and it's a really jolly happy day.
01:03 And the date?
01:04 The date is the 20th of December, 12 o'clock to start eating at 12.30 and we have a ukulele
01:09 band as free entertainment because the whole event is free for our community.
01:15 Well it's great to hear that it's coming on so well.
01:17 It is.
