00:00Let's take a look at the events and reactions of the delegates

00:04at the opening ceremony of the Bimpiaga Friendship Games in Puerto Princesa.

00:18The 11th edition of Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines East ASEAN Growth Area

00:26or Bimpiaga Friendship Games held at the Edward Hagedorn Coliseum in Puerto Princesa, Palawan.

00:32Every athlete is full of joy and excitement from different parts of the region

00:37at the held opening ceremonies that depict the goals of the games

00:41that symbolize openness, cooperation, and friendship.

00:45From the athletes' parade, the performance of historic songs and dances

00:50to the lighting of symbolic torches and cauldron lighting,

00:54the participants were speechless at the event.

00:58I'm very proud because this is my first time, right?

01:02This is my first time, so...

01:07I don't know what to say because I'm proud.

01:10Other delegates from other countries shared their experience

01:14with the Filipino athletes at the Friendship Games.

01:17I did take some pictures with some Filipino friends

01:22and I think all of them are really kind and they are really happy to meet new people

01:28and, yeah, I feel comfortable friends with them.

01:32I never met a Filipino but in my practice I met one

01:37that he's so nice to me and he gave me a present.

01:41And that's, in my point of view, that Filipino people are generous and kind.

01:48I'm very, very excited because, like I said,

01:53this is our first time to join such a big sports event

01:59which is so big because this is international.

02:03Philippine Sports Commission Chairman Richard Bachman also shared

02:07the importance of organizing such events.

02:10It's huge for sports, you know.

02:12Sports actually brings countries together

02:14and this is one way we can actually collaborate with our other countries, our neighbors.

02:20It's a big thing for the delegates, not only for the Filipino athletes,

02:24but for all the countries participating in the Bimpiaga Friendship Games this year

02:28where most of them are first-timers.

02:30That's why all of them are feeling proud.

02:33But the question is, who will be the overall champion of this edition?
