00:00The flagship program of the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.
00:06is the TARA-PASA tutoring program.
00:09It is under the Executive Order No. 76
00:13that was passed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin
00:17that will strengthen the program with the help of national and local agencies.
00:23Under the EO, the DSWD is ordered
00:27to train beneficiaries,
00:29formulate learning and development activities,
00:34develop databases for the progress report,
00:38evaluate and monitor its framework.
00:42Under the program,
00:44the elementary learners will be taught
00:50how to read and develop their reading skills.
00:55They will not only benefit from this program because it will also provide additional income to poor college students
01:03because they will receive financial aid for tutorial and parenting sessions.
01:10The program will also provide assistance to parents and guardians
01:14because those who will be participating in parent-teacher learning sessions
01:18will be given P235 per session.
01:23As of now, more than P120,000 have received assistance from the program.
