00:25The Guilas Pilipinas faced the New Zealand 12 Blacks on Thursday night
00:28at the Mall of Asia Arena. Trailing by a wide margin early in the game,
00:32Guilas had a tough start as New Zealand found their touch in the Rainbow Country.
00:37Despite the early struggle, Guilas proved their resilience tying the game at a halftime 45-45.
00:43By the third quarter, the Philippine national team surged ahead with a 16-0 scoring run.
00:49In the final canto, the 12 Blacks attempted a comeback cutting the lead down to just two points.
00:54But Guilas maintained their composure securing the win with a final score of 93-89.
01:00Naturalized player Justin Brownlee led the team with 26 points and 11 rebounds,
01:05while Kai Soto reached his career high 19 points along with 10 rebounds and 7 assists.
01:25Team Cone praised his team as they managed to defeat New Zealand for the first time
