00:06Meanwhile, Senator Sherwin Gatchalian is pushing for the allocation of more than P70 million

00:28The original budget of the Office of the Vice President for the next year was approved by the Camera version.

00:39As of today, I would vote against adding to the OVP budget for the reasons I stated.

00:45Unless there's a super, super, super duper good reason to convince me.

00:55Not necessarily to reverse everything.

00:57I'm sure there's no problem with the construction of the house.

01:04But I've heard a lot from our fellow Senators.

01:08I, for one, would like to put some more.

01:11Senator Joel Villanueva said,

01:13look at the office and don't look at who is the Vice President.

01:18Senator Riza Honteveros said,

01:21The OVP budget has been approved.

01:23Based on the past vices, it can also be approved on almost the same budget.

01:28Meanwhile, another hot topic is the budget for the ACAP or aid for the Kapos Ang Kita Program.

01:34The ACAP is important here to discuss what we wanted to accomplish.

01:40So we don't have problems with the program in itself.

01:43But we wanted to make sure that it's clearer this time.

01:47As for the flood control projects,

01:49They told me that they will give a plan and a catch-up plan for this.

01:57If not, then I'm inclined to move this budget and transfer it to other...

02:05Senator Sherwin Gatchalian is asking for a payment of P79 million

02:10for the scholarship of child development workers who only finished high school.

02:15Gatchalian said that as much as possible,

02:17he wants to promote the professionalization and upskilling of CDWs.

02:22It is expected that the Senate will continue the discussion on the 2025 national budget.
